The host was very welcoming. Summing up I would say the house had many pros and cons.Pros, very central, moments away from the pubs restaurants and easy walk to heritage sites and the Market is literally on the doorstep! ( on Friday, Saturday, Sunday) It Was clean ( see cons) bedding was just lovely, felt great and very comfortable. Cons I know this is a very old heritage house but it is very tired, it needs a good overhaul it looks grubby but actually isn’t really. It needs a coat of paint and some remedial work on the plaster! This house has very steep and narrow tread stairs which I found very challenging! But even my very fit daughter said were difficult! This is part of the old building and part of the charm but think it should be mentioned in the description. By far the worst thing for me was the noise! There is a nightclub about 100 m away ( again not the owners fault but a visitor needs to be aware of this) the music was VERY loud and continued till 5 am on Halloween! Which was on Saturday. I don’t know if this is the case every weekend! It’s a beautiful old building If I was in my 20s I would have been really happy and we enjoyed being in the centre on the week days. The hosts very very receptive and helpful when I had an issue with the keybox as we were leaving.
