Great Location but Needs a Refresh
My husband, daughter and I have traveled to Perdido Key many times over the years and always stay in different places. This trip we were a bit disappointed. The unit is in a great location with easy beach access, but the photos of the property need to be updated. The outside has been painted white, not blue as it is in the pictures. Inside also looks different. Light fixtures have been replaced but many are missing bulbs or have mismatched colors (soft white vs bright white etc…). Water stains on living room ceiling. All of the furniture and window treatments need to be replaced-broken slats on plantation shutters/blinds and broken pieces on bed frame. All of the furniture is just worn out. Downstairs flooring needs to be replaced-broken tiles, missing grout and worn out dirty carpet on stairs. Both upstairs bathrooms appear to have been updated recently and are nice but small. Also missing/mismatched lightbulbs. We were a bit disconcerted that the ceiling fan in the front bedroom may not be wired correctly as the fan light would come on and start flickering like a strobe light if you plugged anything into the wall outlets. After that we just left the fan and its light off all week. All of the appliances worked well and there is lots of counter space in the kitchen, but the cabinets could use some cleanup. The pool was great but the lights didn’t work so we had to turn porch lights on if anyone wanted to swim after dark. Would not stay here again unless it gets updated.
