"It was a convenient location. Close to both Sylvan Beach and Verona Beach. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. I recommend Flo's Dinner for breakfast. Can't beat the 10-cent coffee. I needed to contact the host once for a question and he picked up immediately. I will be back next year."

The property is still under construction, so do expect some building noises during the daytime, but the accommodations were more than ample. The internet is a little slow, out in the boonies, but the TV works fine and the people on-site were very kind and accommodating."

Pricing felt high for winter in Syracuse, and there are extra charges if you ask to check-in early, but clean, quiet, comfortable place, and proximity was ideal for my visit with family. "

"Vanderkamp was the ideal setting for small family 50th Anniversay celebration. Although the weather wasn’t perfect, we were able to be outside for 2 of our 4 days – hiking, paddleboarding, canoeing, fishing, and playing yard games. Off the dock it was very weedy and mucky, but it was fun to watch the fish and snakes. Inside there was ample room to either be together or find quiet places to read or relax.
