Ours was a fine stay at Tonic Hotel du Louvre. The only big problem was the absolutely the staff’s lack readiness in an urgent situation.
My grand-mother had a sudden low blood pressure event and we needed salt. When I called the front desk for it, they told me to come down to the bar to get it - which we did, since it would be faster then trying to turn their mind around. Of corse I started the conversation with a clear and well spoken French for “we have a medical urgency, we need salt, and we need it fast”.
Thankfully we are traveling in three, so my mother went for the salt and I stayed with my grandma trying some salty chips we had as left overs...
Also, the hotel has old and unsuitable bathroom toilet seats made of wood.... yes, it is that disgusting the state of it.
Besides these two problems, it all went really smoothly.
The staff - although clearly not ready to respond to extraordinary but common to happen things - is very polite and attentive. Also have given great tips!!
As to the “elevator”, yes, there are two, but one of them (which happened to be ours) was very very small - which is common in Paris.
