This unit has a skylight that opens from the top bedroom to an interior area where other units have balcony/ windows. You can hear those people anytime they have their units open. Skylight will stay open about 8”, and if you try to open further it will rain dust and debris down on the bed. And it’s the only window or source of fresh air in the unit.
We arrived and it was 92 Fahrenheit in the unit. There were 3 small fans, 1 of them worked, 2 did not. When we returned after dark the temp had risen to 94. Tried opening door to let air flow to no avail. Wife, daughter and I laid (no sleep to be found) on lower level in front of the 1 working fan for 6 hours until first cafe in area opened and we could get out of there. Messaged host from there asking for more fans. Host replied no fans were available and “1 of them should work”. Rather than lead my family to heat stroke by staying, we moved to new accommodation that day.
Bathroom door handle was broken and locked my daughter in first time she went in. Without someone on the outside to push handle in and connect inside to outside, the door would have been impossible to open. A solo traveler could find themselves trapped in there for hours/ days.
Unit is smaller than it looks in photographs. And stairs to unit and in unit are narrow and hard to navigate, especially with luggage.
Host offered no effort to assist and clearly isn’t using any revenue to make unit livable for visitors.
Best of luck if you choose 2 stay here!
