This cute small (about 20 m2 )comfortable, quiet and romantic apartment is located on the attic of an18th century building on the 4th floor (no elevator) It is very bright, peaceful and quiet looking over the roofs of Paris
there is a kitchen with everything you need to make a meal

For our first visit to Paris, this apartment the perfect base. Easy to get to from CDG, centrally located in the heart of the city, with quick access to the Metro. The neighborhood is fun, with plenty of places to eat and shop. When travelling, we love to hit up the local food markets and do a little cooking and the kitchenette was exactly what we needed. The space was clean and warm, despite being quite chilly outside. We would absolutely stay here again when returning to Paris.

Had a wonderful time staying in this sweet little apartment. It's definitely small, but met all our needs so well -- we were able to buy some fresh fruit and cheese and keep it there in the fridge, and make coffee in the mornings, which was such an improvement over staying at a hotel. And its location absolutely cannot be beat. Just step outside and you're a block away from fabulous cafes, shops, patisseries, boulangeries, and so much more. The host was reachable and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Arlette is a thoughtful host with great communication and recommendations - the restaurant Chez Nenesse was excellent. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It is walking distance to everything. We walked to Notre Dame, Montmartre, the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, etc. There are a couple of close metro stations which we used a couple of times but usually walked. There are so many great restaurants in the neighbourhood as well as shops for whatever you could want or need. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean. We ate most of our meals out with the exception of breakfast which was just provisions we bought from the local market and boulangerie so I can’t comment on cooking in the apartment. Some practical advice, it is a fourth floor walk up, which was fine for us but may not be for some. The shower is very small which was fine for my 5’6” and thin build but was really tight for my 5’9” body builder partner and his broad body. But the water pressure was great and the water was hot! We would definitely stay here again.

I agree with Craig C previous review in August 2025. Our information provided was misleading Eg: no hot tub, outdated restaurant information. Very squeezy for two people. Like living in a caravan. Toilet seat not properly attached. Shower ridiculously small. No hand basin so kitchen sink used. Had to take care not to bump head on beams in roof. Freezer door broken. Paintwork tired. Everything tired. Bed not comfortable. Wifi stopped working and could not get it fixed. You could not take a large suitcase up the stairs. Good instructions for entry and exit. Great location for eating. In a boutique clothing and gallery district. Better value for money in other accommodation.

This apartment is very close and walking distance to all of the historical sites in Paris. There are four flights of very steep stairs going up to the apartment. It’s very small but satisfactory for a nice few days in Paris. The bed was very comfortable.

The location is fantastic with so many excellent restaurants & shops just a few minutes walk away, plus walkig distance to other great neighborhoods. It is a bright, clean, quiet, cozy place to lay your head after a long day of walking around Paris. The place is very small, so if you are 6ft or taller this might not be the right fit.

Unfortunately not so romantic small studio.Fixtures & fitting are mostly poorly fitted, worn or broken.Bathroom is more of a shower with toilet, need to dry yourself in kitchen or bedroom area. There's no hot tub.Although studio is 20 square meters, the bedroom/livingroom feels cramped due to being in the eves & due to layout,Knew of the stairs, which was no issue, but would say any mobility issues or on the large side these could be.Post-it notes of information reminders everywhere, a book or paper with all information would be better look.Could be nice with some updates & repairs.Good points bed was comfortable, studio quiet, the area is great, shops, cafes, restaurants, market, close to metro.Unfortunately would not recommend this studio, disappointing.

Overall my stay was great. The location was great for me. The neighborhood and courtyard was quiet and I felt very safe. Check in was flexible and independent, and checkout was flexible and independent. Everything was just as the host communicated. Host provided ideas and suggestions for activities and restaurants. Great apartment in a fantastic neighborhood

We had a great stay here, check-in instructions were easy to follow and apartment is conveniently located in the Marais neighborhood near the metro with many shops and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. Arlette is a fantastic host and easy to communicate with!

Perfect location!

We loved our stay in the little studio apartment in the Marais! Communication with the owner was easy and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. The neighborhood is wonderful-around the corner from the Picasso Museum and an easy walk to Notre Dame and other Paris sites. There’s a lot of stairs to climb to get to the apartment but that’s in the description so wasn’t a surprise. We’re already planning our next Parisienne getaway!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this attic apartment. Yes it is 5 flights up, but at 73, I had very little problem. It had a well done kitchen, the bath was fine, the view from the kitchen window really charming. The neighborhood- Le Marais was fab. We had trouble leaving it--so many wonderful museums, shops and restaurants. Our host's recommendations were always terrific. We would definitely recommend. Just try to anticipate your needs, and they will help. We wish we'd had a top sheet on the bed for example, and an additional blanket. Otherwise, we truly enjoyed our week!

Owner was very clear so there were no worries about check in or how to get to the apartment. Neighbourhood is lovely and apartment is well situated. Would recommend with one caveat -- apartment is indeed cozy and might not be well suited for very tall or large individuals, or those who are not ok with stairs!

Great Apartment

This is such a great little apartment in a great location! There are tons of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby but the street is still very quiet. Arlette, the host, is extremely communicative and makes the whole process so easy! I would definitely stay here again!

初めてのパリ一人旅、治安がよくお洒落な町、マレ地区のアパートメントに宿泊を決めました。オーナーのアルレットさんが美術館や、教会、近隣のカフェやアートギャラリーについてなど、親切にいろいろ教えてくれて、本当に楽しい旅が出来ました。キッチンもシンプルで使いやすく、夜は快適に眠れました。階段を登るのに最初は息切れがして大変だったけど、毎日上り下りするうちに慣れました。パリに来る時は又ここに泊まります。

Try Le Marais

Le Marais one of Paris loveliest districts. Challenging 82 steps to studio for some but cozy. Incredibly well placed for restaurants, cafés, groceries and bakeries. 15-20 minute walk to great sites such as Place des Vosges, Centre Pompidou. Picasso Museum etc. Seine 30 minute walk.

My daughter and I stayed in this cozy Paris apartment for 7 days. It was absolutely perfect! That amazing Parisian feel in a wonderful neighborhood, we really felt like locals. 5 days in Paris

A small nest under the roof of PARIS ( guests need to be able to climb stairs ) Live la Boeme in the best location in Paris . We walked to every turistic attractions but most of all enjoyed walking among the parisian , exploring the stylish boutiques and eating in the local small brassieres and markets Will be back Thank you Arlette !
