We walk in the front door at about 10pm and see another couple who had been waiting for a clerk to check them in for 15 minutes. One of them went behind the counter in the back room trying to find an employee. "Mount Sequoyah is a beautiful place to stay. My partner and I were in town for a wedding weekend and wanted something a bit more interesting than your average hotel. Mount Sequoyah gave us the opportunity to unwind and watch the sunset from their lookout spot, walk peacefully and enjoy the grounds and the art, and sit on our porch and experience the wildlife. A mama doe and two spotted babies walked very close to our cabin. Our first night, we did not have warm water for showers, I am unsure...

"Basement room is no go. I could hear footsteps upstairs. Wedding reception guests were loud, disrespectful of hotel guests, slamming the doors. Barely slept all 3 nights I stayed. Great location, but if you are a light sleeper and you are trying to relax in your room this place is not for you."

"I’ve stayed in rundown motels and I know what to expect and what I’m getting for my money. But this place was unacceptable and for around $90 a night it’s upsetting. There were so many bugs in my room. And everything was extremely dirty. When I first got to my room I killed around 20 bugs crawling on the floor, walls, countertop, and fridge door. I was grossed out but gave the place a chance. When I got back to my room later in the evening and turned the lights on to discover tons of bugs...
