Our condo is a beautiful beachfront property with breathtaking views of the beach and gulf! This is a FULL three-bedroom/two bath property on the 18th floor of Calypso Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida. Our condo is decorated for maximum comfort. We wanted to create the feel of home at the beach. We also wanted to make this a home away from home. For us and our guests. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of the unique features of this wonderful beach environment. From the balcony you can look out not only onto the sugar-white sands and the emerald-green Gulf of Mexico but also onto the Russell-Fields Pier, just a 5-minute stroll away. That alone is enough to make this recently redecorated unit an idyllic home base for your Panama Beach vacation. Beach service included during season! But there’s plenty more to love. What’s more, the complex has 2 large swimming pools, a palm-tree-studded beachfront patio, a tiki bar during the season, and an exercise room. Beach service included for 2025 season. Please note you will be required to pay $60 per vehicle to register your car, one bedroom units are allowed one car and 2/3 bedrooms are allowed 2.

We picked Calypso 1806W because it offers us a conveniently located yet quiet beachfront location in resort that is designed to be convenient for guests with some nice amenities. We think you’ll agree that Calypso 1806W can be your beach home away from home, where you and your family to enjoy a truly memorable beach vacation. As relaxing and welcoming as Calypso 1806 West is, you probably won’t be spending that much time in it. After all, the beach is mere steps away. No need to load up your car with a day’s worth of gear; you can saunter back and forth as you please. Go fishing on Russell-Fields Pier (the longest pier on the gulf) in the morning, head to the beach for a swim or paddle boarding afterward; return later to search for seashells; come back to watch the glorious sunset or search for constellations in the star-studded sky. If you want to make sure your family has the beach vacation you all deserve, book your Best Beach Getaway as soon as you can.

The minimum acceptable ratio of occupants in our rental units is one (1) person over the age of 25 for every four (4) persons under the age of 25 occupying the rental property except during Spring Break. During Spring Break , the minimum acceptable ratio is one (1) person over the age of 25 for every two (2) persons under the age of 25.

Lots of little stuff that took away from a good experience

A lot of little (easily fixable) things that took away from what could have been a great experience: Ants at the pool, the dirty pool tile from sunscreen and such, beach access full of sand (someone fell on the steps). Our a/c stopped working and couldn't get a hold of anyone until 9am the next morning. I couldn't find an emergency or 24hr line. The bartender at the tiki hut was rude - didn't acknowledge my husband & then lifted her phone to show him she was on a 15 minute break. We didn't go back after that. Process for beach chairs would have been nice to know (guy just told us to come back in the morning, when later we found out you can reserve for the entire stay once). And the cleaning crew showed up before our check out time but then when I called the # to say we were leaving there was no option to say leaving or operator.

Great location but condo needs improvements

This is our 2nd stay at Calypso Resort, but a different unit. The negatives: There was pretty significant damage to the kitchen island, with drywall showing where decorative planks were removed. It appeared there was likely water damage because the floor was also rotten and sinking in one area of the kitchen/hallway. Pots and pans were rusted and scraped, to the extent they could not be used without something to line or cover. Oven door handle was loose. Each room had a smart tv, but we were unable to watch any local channels to plan for weather/events, because there was no cable (or if there was, we couldn’t figure it out). Overall these things are minor, we enjoyed eating out over cooking and the “construction” needs were more of a shock because I wasn’t expecting to see broken wood and exposed drywall or sinking floors. The location and view are beautiful the unit is spacious with 2 large bathrooms and close access to the elevators, which are surprisingly efficient for such a large resort. Parking in the attached garage is nice and always available and grounds were always clean. Access to beach chairs through the resort is great, but unit also had lots of beach items in the laundry closet as well.

The devel is in the details!

The location and views were great as pictured. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Everything was going great until trying to use the beach service that was a major factor of us choosing this property, I speak with the people setting up the chairs and umbrellas and give them our room number 2-1806. And was informed that in-fact it’s not on the list. I left 2 separate audio messages to 2 separate numbers to contact the property manager. A couple of hours later I received a text stating the previous owners said it would be included but they haven’t fixed it. Then somehow the new owners say they removed the description for included beach service… And somehow it has been added to the description again??? FYI as I’m typing this 5/13/23 it is STILL advertising the service. The problem is I paid for the entire description to only be LIED too! Do the math on 6 days beach service and that’s how much We lost.. Thanks Best Beach Getaways!!

Great location

Two rooms were great. The bunk beds were smaller than twin size and did not fit my teenagers. Also no closet in bunk bed room which made it very tight. There was no beach chair ser⁷vice as advertised but plenty of beach chairs in the condo. Accent wall panels missing on peninsula and kitchen floor areas in need of repair. Other condos we've rented in the area provided basic seasonings like salt & pepper, foil, cooking pil, tissues, napkins.

Beautiful beaches; mediocre condo

Significant problems with the condo. Kitchen sink faucet wobbled and leaked. Pots and pans were so disgusting we had to buy some to use. The floor in the kitchen was broken and sagging in one place. There was little water pressure. Overall would not recommend.

Fall Break 2021

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Calypso. The condo was nice and In a great location. It would be nice if beach chairs were included like they are in other rentals we have stayed in there. We will be back next year.

Location was perfect! The unit wasn’t as clean as others we’ve stayed in. The floors were still very dirty. Has some maintenance issues to start and had a hard time getting in touch with someone. Tried to contact someone with Best Beach Properties several times before and after our departure and never could get in touch with anyone. Called multiple times, left several voicemails along with sending about 6 or so emails and have still yet to hear from anyone, so definitely will not use them ever again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping at Pier Park. The only thing is parking is across the street. Although there is an enclosed walkway on the 3rd floor, it's still a bit inconvenient, especially bringing all your luggage, beach stuff, groceries, etc... Took a few trips to get everything in for 6 people. The other thing is the luggage carts. Wasn't a big problem when we got there but leaving was crazy. No carts available. Had to ask people if they were done with the carts. Need more carts, especially during weekends and bust times of the year,

Calypso vacation

The condo was centrally located, great view from the balcony, good size pool. The actual unit wasn’t as well maintained as we expected. The beds were comfortable and the linen clean. The floors were very dirty and sandy, we even found food on the floor. Some of the dishes were put away dirty from the dishwasher. The faucet in the guest bath tub broke the first day. Luckily maintenance was able to fix it the next day. We received a call as soon as we arrived about the hot water heater leaking and were told someone would come and see to it. No one did and the water leaked into the 3rd bedroom and out into the hallway. We contacted maintenance about it and were told it needed to be replaced. We still had hot water to shower but had to deal with wet floors. While we enjoyed the beach we will not be returning to this property.

Absolutely not worth the money - do not recommend!

The check in process was not the issue, we actually got into our condo sooner than expected. They allowed us to use the parking garage before we were able to check into our condo even, so we went & enjoyed the beach in the mean time. It was the condo itself & lack of control of other tenants. I’ll start with the condo, dirty. Upon arrival it was dirty. I expect there to be sand in every nook and cranny but dang...... it was all over the floor, our feet were black after walking around barefoot in the condo. We were loading our groceries into the fridge & the shelves were so janky, I ended up removing one because I didn’t want it to break. The wood flooring is literally chipping away, specifically around the dishwasher, which a couple days into our stay the dishwasher started leaking due the the leak guard strip thing being out of place, which I’m assuming has had to of happened before because the floor is chipping and peeling away really bad there & it looks as if it’s molding. There were also multiple soft spots throughout the condo on the flooring. Safety concern - the balcony door does not lock & i have a curious 2 year old, so my anxiety was through the roof. Another safety concern, the door handles are definitely far from child proof, my 2 year old could easy pop the front door open if we didn’t latch the lock (preventing the rest of our family from coming in regardless if they put the door code in). The plumbing, I don’t even know what was happening with that. Our toilets were clogging up every other flush, the dishwasher somehow backed up our kitchen sinks to the point we had standing water in them. Which a maintenance man came & fixed that also. We had problems with the younger kids partying next door. (which, believe me I get it because I’ve been young too) I let it go for 3 nights before I got tired of hearing them slam their doors, banging on walls/doors, hooting & hollering. They don’t enforce any “quiet time” policy. & to top off the condo, the gosh darn elevators. Two out of the three were out of service so everyone on all 23 floors were trying to get on & off. At one point we waited literally 30 minutes. Then the only elevator that worked didn’t have a sense of direction, probably because everyone on every floor was pressing buttons. Would not recommend this condominium, nor will I ever be back. I spent way too much money on a crap condo.

Great location but could not sleep 6

Check in was a mess. Parking passes were not emailed to the right email (but the rental agreement was) and we could not get into our unit. Had to leave a message and stand outside until I called a second time. We had to ask our grandparents not to come because the teens with us could not fit on the bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom.

Wonderful trip!

We had a great time. Location is perfect to easily walk to Pier Park. Condo was clean with plenty of space. Parking and getting in was a breeze! We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome location. Beautiful views of the ocean, beach, and romantic sun sets. Across the street from Pier Park. 👍👍. The bad ; Condo is in dire need of a updated remodeling and a better cleaning staff with management involvement. Over all , we were happy to be there and hopefully revisit next year
