"We had a wonderful stay during our Japan trip and truly appreciated. The location is excellent—set in a quiet area yet within walking distance of nearby landmarks, which made exploring very easy. It’s a great balance between convenience and relaxation. The staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, and there were no issues communicating in English. They even contacted us in advance to confirm our estimated arrival time, allowing us to drop off our luggage before check-in, which was very...

"Very well located hotel, close to the temple, and we were able to do everything on foot very easily. The environment is clean, organized, and comfortable, with air conditioning that works very well. We stayed for two days and had a great experience. The bathroom is shared, but the shower is inside the room, which made everything much more convenient. There is also a fully equipped kitchen available for guests. Excellent value for money, 10/10!"

"Agréable, propre, calme , spacieux et traditionnel. Ma famille a adoré."

"I loved how authentic the experience felt and looked, curated by such amazing and sweet souls. "

"Adoramos que tinha máquina de lavar disponível dentro do quarto, facilitou muito. Boa localização também, quarto grande e confortável"

"This was a unique property to stay at for our Japan trip. The property was beautiful and was definitely an experience I recommend. Staff was so helpful when first arriving. They try their best to explain things, especially with a language barrier for myself. The hospitality was exceptional. Would recommend anyone to stay here. A little far of a walk from the main station with luggage so maybe a take a taxi. And have them take you to the check-in area instead of the property itself."

"Attractions nearby"

"Everything was well organised, from the location of the check in office near the train station, to the check in procedure, to the facilities at the vacation property and inside the apartment. The location of the apartment was also great, close to lots of tourist attractions, shopping and transport."

"Amazing stay at this Machiya perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults + our 2 daughters 11 and 7 years old) with everything we needed inc. aircon and a washer/dryer. Perfectly located right in front of the Shirakawa river and just 5 mn away by foot from the beautiful Maruyama parc and the overall Gion district"

"Excelente e muito confortavel"
