The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I feel they went above and beyond to help us out. They took us to a clinic for an minor problem that needed to be dealt with.Also recommended beaches for a different experience than Eagle beach. Nothing but good to say about the whole trip.Second time there. What better way to say great.

Our flight was delayed 5 and 1/2 hours but Henry was there to let us in. Very clean and once we found the place it was easy to get back to it. The beach chairs were a great addition!

Yearly Aruba visitors

Meet Henry when we arrived, we did a quick walk thru, He was very friendly and informative of the area. Some restaurants within walking distance. Nice to have a pool on site. Quiet area, couldn’t ask for anything more as far as accommodations. Bed was abit to firm for us, but we managed. Thank you.

Clean, modern accommodations in Aruba

We enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was modern, clean, quiet, and well-equipped. It had fast wifi and good air conditioning. It was nice to have a covered parking spot, too. We really appreciated the beach chairs! We had a question we needed help with in the unit, and our text was responded too instantly - thanks! The location was a short drive from beaches and supermarkets - very handy.

Great location for your vacation!

The studio is bigger than it looks like in the photos, very clean and well maintained. Jerry and family took care of every detail, including beach chairs. The location is about 7-10min drive from many beaches (I had a car, so it was not an issue). If I didn’t feel like driving, Jerry would always make taxi arrangements for me. Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely come again!Thank you!

Our honeymoon

A consummate gentleman. Available immediately when asked, always in touch when needed, the perfect balance of service and peace. Jimmy was quiet, kind and attentive. Introduced us to locas and offered ideas. The place was quiet clean and secluded but it was our host who really made our connection to Aruba. We will return again, and there is no where we would rather be. Thank you Jimmy. My new wife and I liked him immediately.

Host was very nice and apartment was as photos show.

Apartment was very clean and well furnished. He has 3 dogs and on occasion they would fight and bark. Only contact with the dogs was if you used the small pool. The beach chairs saved us a lot of money. Water pressure was good unless someone else was using the water. Well stocked kitchen and the safe was a very nice feature. Homes in area were very nice, but the one behind the pool and house looked neglected. Again, the host was extremely nice and we would rent property again.

Great place away from the crowds!

Very nice accomodations in a quiet neighborhood away from all the usual touristy spots. Everything was as advertised. We recommend renting a car to get around, however Jerry can get you where you need to go in his very nice cab (for a fee, of course). If you're looking to go fishing for a day or rent wave runners, Jerry can hook you up with those as well. All in all, we really enjoyed our time on the 'Happy Island' and would not hesitate to recommend Jerry's place to anyone!

Fun under the sun

Very pleasantly surprised, we have never stayed at a Vrbo property before. Met all our needs. Hot water, grocery bags, beach chairs, pool. Lots of info on places to see and when to see them. You can walk to markets and some restaurants. The hosts and their family are lovely, we felt like part of the family. You can use the bus but we gave up on it, much easier to take Jenny's taxi and less waiting on the side of the road. Excellent Excellent vacation. If you want to do any watersports they can help you out, we felt they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Cute studio apartment

This was different for us. We usually stay at a resort but wanted to try something different. The apartment was spacious. Plenty of room for the 2 of us. There was a cute outside area with table and chairs. We had breakfast outside every morning. There were 2 grocery stores within walking distance. We walked the neighborhood and felt very safe. Jerry and Jenny were wonderful hosts. We had several questions and they had answers. Our only issue was that to go to the beaches or Oranjestad, you need a car or lots of taxi cabs. But this was a wonderful experience and let us see a side of Aruba totally different from the resorts. Would definitely recommend this. Thanks to Jerry and Jenny for sharing part of their home with us.

An excellent place to stay

This place is fantastic. It is clean very well appointed and comes with everything a traveller could want. A full kitchen, although I did not try the gas oven. Frying pans, toaster to cuttlery and jugs for juice. TV has full cable, Netflix and Prime. AC that works very well, and that Henry does not charge extra for (some do). It is a little bit of a walk to the town centre but bus bus service is close by. Very reasonable priced. I would recommend it to anyone.

Long stay

We stayed almost 3 months. The studio is large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The kitchen had most of the basics. We loved the pool. The studio is centrally located and only a short drive to the beaches. We also walked to Druif Beach and downtown Orangestad on several occasions. There is a bus stop just a short walk from the studio. Jerry and Jenny are taxi drivers and can take you wherever you need to go. They also rent jet skis and their son Ryan has a fishing boat and gives tours. We really enjoyed our time in Aruba.

This property was exactly as expected, it was clean, modern and overall a good place to stay. Henry was super helpful when the AC unit popped the breaker and got back to me immediately on how to reset it. I would stay here again.

Absolutely One Happy Place

We love to stay with the people who live on the island. Learning about their culture, history, & government is important to understand how the people live here. Staying in a hotel you won’t get this experience. Everyone we met were so kind. It really puts you in perspective on how you should appreciate life. It’s not about the car you drive or the house you live in, It’s about you love for human kindness. It doesn’t cost anything to give a smile or a friendly hello to make someone’s day. Aruba is truly “ One Happy Place” 🤗 Our stay was perfect. We couldn’t of asked for anything more. We loved staying here. We covered the entire island from the California Light House to Baby Beach & everywhere in between. It was breathtaking. So beautiful. Our hosts, Henry & Ryan were always available if you needed them. We loved talking with Ryan. He is a beautiful soul. We hope to come back again. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing island with us. Life is good 🤗

Jerry and his family make you feel welcomed from the very beginning

Jerry picked us up from the airport, told us more about the island/culture and constantly made sure we were taken care of regardless of the request. His courteous, kind, and good person to know through and through. In general the property is beautiful and well taken care of, but for the price of the listing it’s a steal. We do recommend renting a car, but once you do, it opens up all of Aruba. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to experience Aruba authentically👍🏼

Location Location Location

Jerry was very helpful as a Host especially regarding directions to and from locations. The property is centrally located in Noord, which was within 6-15 minutes drive from all of my destinations in Oranjestad, Palm Beach and the Harbor area. The property was clean with an open floor plan and equipped with all essentials for kitchen and bathroom. Air conditioned, large screen TV with Netflix and other streaming services. There isn’t much of a view and there are dogs on the property. However, location, safety and cleanliness was most important to me (as I was by myself) and the property offered all three. I would definitely stay at Jerry’s property again the next time I visit Aruba. Thanks Jerry and Jenny for everything!
