"This is a comfortable home in a quiet Waimea neighborhood. There’s a beautiful pasture behind the house with a few cows roaming around. It’s a very short drive to grocery stores, restaurants and farmers’ markets. It’s a great location for accessing both sides of the island. It is a bit of a drive to Volcano NP, but still doable. The beautiful Kohala beaches are also close by. We were also close to some great hiking trails. So all in all, this is a great jumping off point for most of the island. "

"Very quiet location a short drive from Hilo. Beautiful grounds filled with fruit trees, charming birds, and the coqui frogs will relax you at night. The screened-in lanai is airy with ceiling fans and you will enjoy every spare moment out there or even a nap. Spacious well equipped kitchen and brand new appliances throughout. Many great snorkeling adventures in Hilo make great day trips. Check out the Tuesday night traditional Hawaiian music at the Hilo Town Tavern. "

"Wow! Just wow! This property is amazing! The pictures do not begin to show the beauty of the view from this house! The grounds are meticulously kept! The fruit trees and plants, we had planned on going back to the botanical gardens outside of Hilo but there was no need, everything was growing right there! Is the House a little dated yes and I was a little uncomfortable with no coverings on the windows but there truly is no one else around. The house was super clean and the AC kept it cool which...

"Amazing property with great views. We loved sitting on the 2nd floor deck and listening to the birds. We had been given an AWD suv with poor tread on the front tires and it was not able to make it up the driveway. The driveway has a pretty good slope and a significant amount of moss on the ground. The day we arrived our car hit the moss and the tires started spinning. Again, I'm not saying this was all due to the driveway. Long story short, the car was stuck on the driveway and the rental...

"Excellent location to be close enough to Hilo and the surrounding area without giving up any privacy. Great house with a perfect pool for the kids. We felt safe and secure the whole time with the gated entrances. Would stay here again - super peaceful!"

"The location of the property cannot be beat. However, the description of the amenities provided was misleading. There was no kayak as listed and the paddle boards and other water supplies were old and falling apart. We ripped our board shorts on the paddle board because it was broken and we were just very thankful it wasn't our flesh. It shouldn't be there as it's a liability.
