"We had a memorable experience at the cottage by the sea. The cottage was cute and cozy. The fireplace is so nice and keeps the whole home warm. The views were what blew me away with this place. We spent the majority of our time on the back deck whale watching. It was just beautiful and we didn’t want to leave. The host and her daughter were unbelievably friendly and welcoming. "The listing described the property as a charming lake cottage, but it feels more like a guest room as it is attached to the garage and right next to the entrance to the main house. It's a cute space, but not quite what we expected from the description. While the owner was very friendly, this setup felt more like we were intruding on a private space than staying in a standalone cottage. Clarifying this in the listing would help future guests know what to expect."
