"If anyone’s planning on booking this hotel especially any families with little kids please avoid. Terrible customer service received from the hotel start to finish. We had to request expedia to get involved to resolve issues on their behalf, very poor customer experience."

"Room was not tidy for 3 people. There was a sofa bed that we opened up and put a sheet on, and thankfully we had a blanket in the car... we had to ask for a towel too. Very good breakfast, good shower, very nice pool. Attentive staff. Proper cleaning."

"Fantastic stopover on trip down south . Recently refurbished with great food and exceptional staff. Room was a tad small however this was balanced with cleanliness and really nice toiletries. Nice fresh croissants and goot drink selection I have stayed before and will stay again due to price, location, lovely romantic stay"

"Lovely welcome from lady on Reception. A beautiful Victorian building - stunning entrance hall and corridors to rooms. My room, though, could have been cleaner. Comfy bed. I slept well despite a noisy group of people with no etiquette regarding staying in an hotel. The grounds are stunning - you really are in the midst of nature."

"Car park was full in the evening so had to park in a lay-by nearby. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. We were in a top floor room with a very low ceiling that could do with some padding on the corners as it was a safety hazard."

Expedia sold this as a stay with breakfast included, which it was not All in all disappointed. We have received a partial refund "

However, there’s no fridge to store food items, and Wi-Fi is NOT provided. In addition, there are only two power outlets in the room, which can be inconvenient if you need to charge several devices such as phones, tablets, power banks, or laptops. "Wow. Amazing to find a Hotel like that in the middle of nowhere. While the decor is dated, the staff and food were great. We didn’t see any squirrels- which was a bit disappointing. Great walks around the area."
