"We had a very nice stay at Ellavita Cottages. The room was cozy and Tina and Khalifa are very nice hosts. They are always there when you have a problem and can help you with everything. They also know the place well so any question concerning activites can be answered. The breakfast is also delicious.

"Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic.

We was supposed to stay at Kendwa, but because of a bank fraud (!) we left the original plan, and booked through hotels.com at this place. We are very glad how everything turned out. This location at Nungwi is good. At Kendwa we would be stuck at our resort. Here we had more flexibility on what to do all the time.

The Wi-Fi was terrible and barely worked during my entire stay, which made it very difficult to get anything done. "We honeymoonâed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance.
Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon.
