"I checked in (friendly and efficient staff) and noticed the terrible condition the place was in. The corridors and the bar area were bleak and did not give me a safe or welcoming feeling at all. The carpets in the corridors were worn out and knackered and don’t get me started on the room. Old, in urgent need of a revamp and downright depressing. Despite having paid for the night, I decided to leave and went to another hotel at the other side of town: comparable price, modern and taken care of....

"The male (of a certain race) that checked us in looked right past me and greeted my husband when I walked thru the door first and would only deal with him. Even after my husband said I drove and I would fill in the vehicle info, he still asked him to enter the info and would only give him the keys. I felt like I wasn't there! "The lodge was quite good in terms of cleanliness,environment,and amenities in the room was good.The staff{Amand)was quite good,respectful and always attended to my needs.My only concerns during my three days stay was the type of people that stays in the hotel.In my second night stay,i had some policemen knocking furiously on the door next to me.This was exactly 03.15am.I couldnt get back to sleep after all the noise and shouting. On my last day,just about 05,55,the fire alarm went off.Apparently...

"The snacks in the reception are ALL high in sugar. To use the hairdryer it needs to be pressed down at all times which is very frustrating. A simple on and off switch much more practical and makes it easier to use for people with joint issues. Shampoo is kindly supplied maybe it would be possible to supply a little conditioner!? The staff is super friendly and helpful 🌼🌼"

This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area.
