On entering you will find yourself in the light and airy open plan living area with large screen Smart TV. The dining suite is positioned in front of one of two sets of double doors to take advantage of views across the neighbouring field towards the village. Both doors open onto the south facing patio perfect for relaxing in the sun. Whether you're looking to cook from scratch or simply reheat, the kitchen is fitted with an electric fan oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine and aeroccino. Take-away deliveries are also available from the local towns of Wroxham, Stalham and North Walsham.
A wooden staircase leads to a second living area with a cosy sofa, second TV and feature window with sky views.
A comfy kingsize bed with quality linens awaits you in the ground floor bedroom and the ensuite is fitted with a large feature shower, twin basins, heated towel rail and large light up mirror.
The lawned garden is fully enclosed so perfect for dogs and features a private hot tub, again with field views towards the village. Wheelwrights garden and patio are perfectly situated to view both sunrise and sunset and with very little light pollution you'll be able to do a little stargazing too.
Wheelwrights has dedicated parking right outside for one large or two smaller cars (tandem), and its own pooches paw wash.
Guests have access to the whole space and the additional half acre field shared with our 3 other cottages perfect for zoomies. The dog friendly village pub serves food and is a 10 minute stroll away.
Dilham is a small hamlet in the heart of Norfolk. We're right on the Broads at the end of the River Ant yet just 7 miles from the coast, 5 miles from Wroxham and 14 miles from Norwich. We have walks from the door including access to the Weaver's Way and Bacton Wood is a 10 minute drive away offering shady off lead walks.
For lovers of water activities Dilham Staithe is at the end of the drive and is a good spot for fishing (in season with licence) or for launching your own canoe, kayak or paddle board. It's a quiet, peaceful part of the Broads that links to the North Walsham & Dilham Canal so is much more suitable for self powered craft than the busy areas of Wroxham, Potter Heigham and Horning.
All of our guests are provided with a copy of our comprehensive Guide to Norfolk to get the most out of their stay.
PLEASE NOTE that in line with Health & Safety Executive Guidelines the hot tub is completely drained, cleaned, refilled and reheating between each set of guests and whilst we cannot guarantee that it will be up to temperature and ready to use on your first night we can guarantee you will be the only people to sit in that water.
