"Perfect for what I needed, but the pub is a bit tired. That said food was okay and rooms where clean."

"Room was cold so we put on the a/c. It blew cold air continually. We thought it would eventually blow warm air. At 3am my husband was so cold we decided to leave for home. The checkout lady told us we should have gone to her as it’s controlled at reception. Would have been good to know this."

"Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "Food is excellent but dinner service was very slow. Hotel is a little dated. The bedside, round 3 pin plug sockets are useless unless you have appliances with old style plugs or an adapter. Toilet cistern was leaking and there was a small leak on the towel radiator. The seal on the shower screen was not in contact with the bath top, so floor became wet through after taking a shower. Lots of plastic flowers adorned the hotel. Hotel is very well located if you plan to visit Beamish museum."

"The hotel was very nice only a few things I would say they should tell you when checking in that they have maintenance work going on . Also they leave say if you want your room cleaned you should leave a note on your door by 11pm which is could yet not putting a note on the door they still came in your room and took the key out of the room which I find annoying"

"Amazing boutique hotel! Very fashionable and confortable! Beautiful building. Staff was perfect. In an area with lots of restaurants. Top breakfast! I will give high review for the stylish decor! From the bed to the shower, everything was fantastic!"

"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."

"Had a lovely overnight stay for my special birthday. Beautiful afternoon tea with helpful staff. Room was oldie and so comfortable - had a lovely nights' sleep and was woken up by the dawn chorus. Gorgeous! Definitely 10/10"

"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."
