"Rear facing bedroom basic but clean. Bed comfortable. Pillows could be better, way too soft for my liking Food although very good, is also very expensive. Lack of affordable snacks, light Breakfast fantastic. Location, spa and views fantastic"

"Amazing views, very lovely staff, easy parking, very clean and comfortably spacious rooms. Only thing to note is that if the bar / restaurant is open and music on, and it's summer and you have windows open, it can get a bit noisy on the top floor. We stayed Friday and sat night so that might also make a difference. Parents were in room on cliffside below the restaurant and was much quieter there. Five stars easily even with this!"

"There are two Plume of Feathers in Cornwall. If you search for the one in Portscatho on Google this one is likely to show up and I made the mistake in booking it. When I contacted them once I had realised my error they said it was not up to them to refund but Expedia - who I contacted. They were helpful and sympathetic - but they said it was actually at the discretion of the host who they contacted on my behalf but they declined my request. I again contacted the PoF to ask them to reconsider...

"Friendly enough staff. Well situated, but not clean enough and the lack of air con was a killer. Perfectly positioned, but could do with some love and deep cleans between guests."

"The staff were very helpful and let me store my pole vault pole, which is over 4m long, in the basement free of charge for the duration of my stay, which was very helpful. The hotel is only a short walk from Fistral Beach and convenient for the town centre. My single room was a good size with large window overlooking the sea."

The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious and prepared with so much care – definitely one of the highlights of my stay. "The hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly and very helpful suggesting places to visit during our stay. Our room was beautiful, with some lovely touches. We had a coffee maker and yummy biscuits in our room. We also had dry robes in the wardrobe to use at the beach over the road. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious as was dinner. They were very good at accommodating my husbands food allergies and had plant based alternatives for him. Even his dessert was delicious where oftenhe finds he...
