I love a nice independently run, mid-size hotel that offers a higher level of care and service than its name-brand counterparts (Best Western, Comfort Inn, etc.) The rooms are spacious, clean, and well laid out. "The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The check in was great. They let us check in a bit early because of the circumstances we came up there. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open. It was to open this weekend coming. Lots of parking. The view of the lake was beautiful."

"Staff help you promptly, was greeted right away and was checked in to my room within 5 mins of arriving. Only had the breakfast once, it was one of the better breakfasts I’ve had from a hotel that gives complementary breakfast. Coffee was great, which is hard to find. Make sure you push your door hard or else someone can walk in for this out while staying here, thought I closed the door but my friend who didn’t have a room key was able to push open the door, so definitely something you’d want to...
