"The property had a fascinating history linked to WWII German prisoners as well as a social hub for the community. Beautiful location and view of the lake. Building has definitely seen better days. Our room had flimsy mattresses, broken window pane, The bathroom had missing tiles, plywood under the shower stall, and was downright dilapidated and ugly.
We were placed on a wing with a large noisy multigenerational family who allowed the children to run free well into the night. Apparently, this...

"Even though the property is unmanned, the staff was very helpful when needed. I left a jacket in the room and when contacted, Janet went above and beyond in helping have it successfully picked up by my friends.
Accommodation has everything you need and the double bed was comfortable. The restaurant next door is excellent and only a short distance away is the lovely walk along the river. And for a fine dining experience, the Rendez-vous did not disappoint."
