"Main reason for the 4 stars is the non-functioning Mini-Split style Air-Conditioning units. The host/property management had installed two window A/C units, so we give them credit for that and that there was A/C in the unit. However these are simply obnoxious in noise and (strong) blowing cold air. Unit was clean and bright, nicely accommodated. "Mike and Lisa's property was so lovely. An absolutely perfect place for a getaway if you're looking for a peaceful and quiet spot. My husband and I and our friends were pleased and very much enjoyed our stay here. Our only regret was not getting to meet Mike and Lisa personally. Highly recommend the Shire."

"We were so happy with the property, the perfect getaway with our pup. The back deck was great for an evening glass of wine and we were surprised to see two pairs of swans gliding along the lake our first night there. Our pup had fun chasing the boat waves while we relaxed on the shoreline. Close to so many great dog friendly places. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future!"

"Honestly, when we first arrived in the area, we were a little nervous. However, the place is comfortable, very clean, and the parking was actually very safe and quiet. I 100% recommend this place! The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the location is super convenient, only about 10 minutes from Union Park. I highly recommend it. Thank you!"
