"Bar W is a gorgeous ranch located perfectly close to Whitefish get far enough to properly experience the peace and quiet of the Montana countryside. All the staff at Bar W were friendly, happy and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and at home. The lodge is stunning, homely and comfortable and I could envisage spending more time there with a group of friends or family. "Very unique experience. We stayed in a bigger tent with The bathroom and shower which made a nice difference. We did get cold one night but that was because of our poor fire building skills. What stood out so much here was the customer service. Every single person there helped us any way they could. "I have been visiting the Izaak Walton for most of my life and each time is special. Yes it might be an older building and have occasional problems related to age but the inn is possibly the most unique in all of Montana. The staff are always top notch and professional and the location is amazing! "

"We stayed in the off season to visit Glacier National Park which is a 40 minute drive. It was affordable compared to anything else. There was a full kitchen which was nice because there were no dining options except in Whitefish which was a short 11 minute drive. This would be a skiers paradise in the winter. Hiking and bike trails were abundant. "
