This place is right on the water, and we were able to tie up 3 fishing boats with no problem. The owner was in contact before and during our stay to make sure everything.

Great family get away!

We had a fun family get away for the holiday weekend. The cottage was cozy and comfortable. The host was great, she stays in another cottage on the property and is there for any needs. She has water toys to rent and had a great bbq out on the lake for all her cottages with food and the best live music. It is unanimous our family will be back

Great place to stay with an amazing host

Angelique was an amazing, anything we needed she was there to help. The house was set up so cute and welcoming. The rentals being on site made for a memorial weekend. Definitely coming back!

Mom's Memorial service

I am so glad that we found this great vrbo so close to the Church. Very relaxing when getting ready and did not have to make the long drive in the heat. Best decision made. Family came after the reception was over and we were able to spend additional quality time remembering and catching up at a great location by the Lake. Very welcoming and accommodating.

Our stay in Nice, CA, was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to our exceptional host, Angelique. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us warmly and ensured every detail was perfect. The house was absolutely charming—cozy, impeccably clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a seamless trip. Just steps away, the lake beckoned, and Angelique made our water adventures effortless by providing a range of toys, from kayaks and paddleboards (included in our rental) to motorized options available for rent. This thoughtful setup made our days on the water both relaxing and exhilarating. We’re already looking forward to our next lake getaway in California, and there’s no question we’ll be booking with Angelique again. Thank you, Angelique and team, for an unforgettable experience!

Everything was very nice and clean. We were there during the off season, so there were no watercraft available, but there were also few tourists so it was very peaceful.

July Family Birthday's!

Our first family vacation to celebrate all the July birthday's. This lakefront house was perfect. Angelique was so friendly and we loved that everything is on site. Water toys were available to rent and it was perfect for our family of 8. We will be back!! Next time we will get the cottages to add for more family.

Had a good time

Overall, I had a good time, but some things to watch for. 1. House was very nice, but found ants in the kitchen and bathroom. Fortunately, the house had ant killer in one of the cabinets. 2. The house owner has several properties that share the same fishing/boating dock. If there are boats using the dock, fishing from the dock is very limited. Check with home owner if there will be other guests using the dock before making a reservation. This was not apparent on the house listing on VRBO so I found out after I checked in.

Had a great time

Angelique was very helpful and communicated with me the whole time. She checked in often to see how things were going. Check in was super easy. Some of the kitchen utensils were dirty in the kitchen cabinets, but cleaning it was easy so that's okay. The kitchen can use some more pots and pans but we made do with what we had. We caught plenty of fish with the shared docks on the property. All around great weekend with a great host. Thanks again, Angelique! I had a great birthday stay!

Well cared for

We had a great time staying in Nice, CA at the Haven. You can tell the property is cared for, loved, and time and energy is puI Mt into the maintenance of it. We enjoyed kayaking right in front of the house and fishing off the dock. It was windy but we made the best of it. Algae wasn't bad and the wildlife was around. Thanks again.

10 family members around the same dining table, 10 men in a row on a dock, 10 fish on it’s a good thing there are two docks and a 10 out of 10 view of all of it including the house view of the lake.

Well worth the price

Very nice property and very relaxing. Home was well stocked with everything you’ll need for your stat. The owner Angelica was such a pleasure and her hospitality was first rate. We will definitely return for another stay!

The Perfect Getaway

We desperately needed a get away and wanted to feel free and safe to enjoy ourselves. Our Get-A-Way was Amazing, it was so relaxing and peaceful. The check-In went very smoothly Angelique was there waiting to check us in. We were able to park our vehicles and boat. The home was nice and clean, It was like your home away from home. Angelique thought of every little thing. Everyone was so impressed with the Home and location. We love this Place. My husband and brother love ,Love, LOVE fishing. They caught a ton of fishes, Bluegills, Black Bass and Cat-Fishes. Our 4-year old grandson caught his very 1st fish and now he's hook. I took lots of beautiful pictures of the sunsetting. Angelique showed us all around the property. We can't wait to go back. We did not want to leave. Angelique's Place is the Perfect get-a-way.

Charming house with Great Lake view

Very cute house, comfy beds, high quality linens, well equipped kitchen. Really cute and comfortable house. Outside space set up well, very comfortable and positioned as depicted to be the center point of your stay. AC units worked great and loved the ceiling fans in all of the rooms. Both bathrooms were updated and set up well. The inside of the house was very clean, but the outside needs some attention. Dog hair all over the couches (we covered them with towels) tons of spider webs and dirt/dust webs covering the overhang above the seating space and around exterior of the house. The tables outside had webs on them and the top of the coffee table was dirty, had not been cleaned. We cleaned the spaces we used and it didn’t deter us from enjoying the space, but with paying a healthy size cleaning fee for a 2 day stay seems it should have been clean for us as well. Would take 30 minutes to go through with a broom and clean the overhang and exterior space. Still overall really enjoyed this trip!

Lake fun

Our family enjoyed our stay at Angelique's place. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable and a spacious, well-equipped kitchen for family meals. The AC units and fans were greatly appreciated. The option to rent the on-site jet skis and jet boat was so convenient. Angelique and her staff were very friendly and helpful.

Relaxing by the lake

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely lakeside home. The house is comfortable and well-appointed, and the location within steps of the lake is ideal. We especially liked hanging out on the patio in the evenings. Angelique was a super hostess and made us feel very much at home.

False advertising, lies, and rude owner and employee

My horrible experience is too long to fit into this box. So many things went wrong during our “stay.” I’ll list as much as I can. • The pictures are not accurate. • Patio is COVERED in ants. • The owner lives right next door with her dog, so you basically have coffee with them in the morning. They walk by constantly all day. • The “private dock” that’s pictured is not the dock we were given to use. We brought a boat and couldn’t even leave it in the water because the dock was so old and unreliable. • The “private ramp” was barely useable. The owner and some employees even came out to watch us launch our boat and took pictures to show future renters that it’s doable. Unless you have a 4x4 and are VERY experienced, it’s not doable. Even then, it was VERY difficult. The water is too low, and the algae was disgusting. I asked before our trip about these conditions and was told it was fine. Lies. The owner also lied to me about a refund. I contacted her 17 days before our trip to inquire about the algae. She said the water was fine, and I was not eligible for a refund. • The water coming out of the faucets was yellow. When we let the owner know, she said she had noticed that a few days ago. Why weren’t we told?! Someone got stomach issues from it in our group. She contacted the county, and they said it’s “safe to drink.” It wasn’t. Even her own employee told us he doesn’t drink the water, and he lives onsite! • The air conditioning broke. It was 85 degrees in the house. They worked on it for four hours on our FIRST DAY. After it wouldn’t turn back on, they installed a loud unit in the kitchen window, attempted to put another in the master bedroom window, but it didn’t work. • I let them know we wanted to leave in the morning and get a full refund. After texting the owner back and forth, one of the owner’s employees came over and argued with me, mocked me, and even laughed at me when I told him that’s what we wanted. It was unbelievable. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER. The owner finally agreed to a full refund, and we were out by 9:30 the next morning. We left three days early. • After we left, the owner was impossible to get ahold of again. She ignored my texts and calls. She ended up charging me a cleaning fee, which wasn’t what we agreed on. She said “it was more than fair” in her email she sent me about a week after our stay. VRBO was NO help in getting my money back. We still ended up paying over $500 for that miserable trip.

Would Never Book Again

Although I would not recommend this property to anyone, I will say the owner was very friendly (at first). I booked this property multiple months in advance and live about 4-5 hours away from this property. I communicated with the owner multiple times over a month prior to booking. I relied heavily on those communications with the property owner prior to booking to make the decision on whether to book the property or not. My main concern and priority which was made clear from day one was the quality of the lake conditions for boating, the availability of the boat ramp at the location, space for the boat at the dock. I informed the owner of the type of boat I have and the length of the boat. No information was provided as how to check in to the property. Upon check in time I was left trying to locate the owner so I could gain access to the property. The owner lives right next door and came over and provided a key code to the door (electronic lock). The door has no other keys or locks. This means there are no other ways to prevent the owner or anybody else from entering the property. Upon entering the home, the place was not cleaned very well and was definitely not clean to any COVID standard. The windows, glass doors, and various other surfaces were covered in fingerprints and grime. Along with the dirt, there was massive amount of ants in the bathroom. To boot, there was no hand soap in the house. My wife had to clean the entire house prior to the rest of our friends arriving while I ran to the store to purchase hand soap, sponges for the kitchen, and bug spray. The rest of the property was under construction and being worked on by on-site construction workers. The entire stay there was construction noise and workers walking past the windows with their shirts off and hanging out in the spaces (ping pong table, picnic table, etc) which was sold to be available to guests. The safety issues are massive. No ability to lock the door to the property. All workers have access to the property while you’re there, while you’re sleeping, or while you’re gone. There is physically no way to prevent them from gaining access to the property. Other issues: - Air Conditioner was broken. - The refrigerator was broken - surrounding neighborhood dilapidated and there were numerous vagrants - Not a separate house, it’s a shared space. - No boat parking - Lots of bugs and spiders inside and out - Misleading advertising

Great house, great host

Excellent stay! I would visit again. House extremely clean, water toys on site to rent VERY convenient. Only 2 drawbacks: waterblevel very low and tons of algae on shoreline = no swimming right there at the house, have to get out on watercraft to swim. Of course, this is beyind hosts control. Also, AC stopped working but by the time we got there host installed 1 window unit. House a little warm the first night but at 9am, our first morning there, host had 2 more window units installed. Host was totally on her game and had that AC issue remedied VERY quickly. Angelique was very responsive and communicative, i would easily rent from her again.
