PLEASE NOTE: This home is a traditional New Orleans Shotgun Style. This means that all of the rooms are in a straight line from the front to the back, and you have to walk through each room to get to the next. The bathroom is located at the rear of the home, so those in the 1st bedroom will have to walk through the 2nd bedroom to get to the bathroom. The living room and kitchen are at the front of the house.
Nestled just minutes from downtown, it`s the perfect spot to explore New Orleans’ festivals, music, nightlife, and renowned cuisine, all within a short 10-minute radius. Close enough to join the party, but far enough to catch your breath.
Getting around is easy. There is free street parking and most guest find that they can park right in front of the home or within eye shot. Also, located on the bus route and just 4 blocks to the Canal streetcar line.

Per local requirements: This home is not ADA-compliant. There are a few steps to climb from street level to access. There is a noise-monitoring device inside the home (as required by law) that measures the sound levels to ensure guests are not disturbing neighbors.

You`ll have your own private exterior entrance to the home. You`ll have full access to your side of the duplex, but the back yard & patios are shared with the other side of the duplex.
We`ll message you with the door code and other instructions one hour prior to your arrival time.
New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire unit which includes the living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and Laundry. Guests will also have access to the porch and shared backyard. **Please note, the only shared spaces are the outdoor areas and are only shared with the adjacent unit.

New Orleans in itself is a very colorful city, full of character and personality. Their locals are no different! If you`re sitting on the porch, don`t be surprised if a passerby waves and says hi!
The neighborhood is a popular location for its short-term rentals due to its proximity to downtown and many of the main attractions. You couldn`t ask for a better location to get a full New Orleans experience! Everything from festivals, concerts, nightlife, sightseeing, and your selection of vegan, soul food, international, creole cuisine and so much more is literally within 10 minutes of here!
Fitness center 1 block away and offer daily and weekly passes (504 Fitness)
There is a trendy pool spot with a bar and music less than a mile away avail on a first come first serve basis (The Drifter)
Street parking is rarely an issue unless you`re in town during Mardi Gras as several of the parades are walking distance to the house!
Public Transit:
The World Famous Canal St. Streetcar line is just 4 SHORT blocks away and will take you directly to the French Quarter, Downtown, or City Park! This home is also on the bus route.
We are about a 5-minute drive to the French Quarter/Downtown area.
Ride Sharing:
Uber/Lyft are the best modes of transportation.
Exterior cameras present to verify guest occupancy.
No off street or reserved parking, but ample free street parking is available. Just be sure to park with the flow of traffic to avoid traffic tickets.
Occasional `City Noise` may be heard due to our close proximity to downtown. Sirens may be heard as there are 2 hospitals just down the street.

Please carefully read our house rules below
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile. Please do not remove your ID from your profile at any point during the booking process, or your visit. This will trigger automatic cancellation of your reservation.
2. Please be mindful of noise during quiet hours.
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Clean towels are a provided amenity, and there`s a washer and dryer in the unit if you need to refresh them during your stay.
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. All rental platforms specifically ban parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in immediate eviction and a ban from the platform.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. Makeup towels are provided for you.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty, $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
10. This home does not allow pets. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo”, it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. All of our TV`s are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out.
17. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know no earlier than a few days prior to your reservation date, and we will determine if it`s possible. We are unable to confirm early check-in (or late check-out) requests for future dates. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested through the platform after your additional time has been approved.
