"This property was a delightful place to stay. I have rated as 5-star across the board. The only detraction was that the majority of the house is on a single thermostat, thus you cannot control the temperature in your room and our room was cooler than we would have preferred. We were told that if we were to stay here again, ask about the one or two rooms that DO have a separate thermostat."

"Great facility, great Italian restaurant 2 doors down. Lots of history on display in the B&B. Breakfasts ranged from good to great, all fresh-made on site. Coffee and soft drinks gratis on first floor."

"Excellent location. Walking distance to waterfront, all of historic New Bern and easy access to hwy to get out of New Bern to go to the beaches. It’s not a fancy spot but well appointed and very clean and wonderful. I loved the back and front entry option!"

"During my 3 days stay I was unfortunately faced with MANY issues. This place deserves to be shut down. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a front desk clerk that seemed nice and friendly. As we got to our room, it was a decent hour around 4 pm or so. I was greeted with a room that had a foul stench that smell almost reminiscent of underarms and perfume. "This is a good property. It is just outside the city near water (not the main river, a side creek. It's a quiet community with plenty of amenities. Check in was easy, it took just a few seconds to get the door unlocked (keypad) but once you did it it was easy. Alana, my host, was attentive and responsive.
