"My son and i usually go backpacking every year to a new National Park and stay in a tent. My back wouldn't allow that this year but we didn't want a hotel. This place was perfect, and what a step up from a tent. Totally secluded up on a mountain with a killer view. Two mattresses, coffee machine with coffee and he supplied water. Outlets, wifi, stove, and small fridge. We loved it!! I wish there were more of these around other National Parks. You absolutely need a 4WD to get up the...

"We really enjoyed our stay. Our host did an outstanding job making us feel welcome, and the property was exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect with a huge lawn right on the Chena River! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, our kids enjoyed paddleboarding on the river, and our dog enjoyed exploring the spacious yard. The home itself has a unique, old time Alaska feel to it, and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed reading some of the articles hanging up about the history...

"The Grizzly Cabin is in a great location in between the entrance to Denali National Park and the town of Healy. AK. The cabin was slightly smaller than expected but was very clean and still met the needs for our family of four adults. An easy walk from the cabin to Otto Lake where we watched (at a safe distance) a moose with her calf swim across the lake together while a bald eagle watched from a tree nearby. Communication with the owner was great and we had no issues during our stay."

"Very clean and comfortable. Maybe the most well-stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in with kitchen essentials. The cabin is tucked away and private except for the cabin next door with a nice view of the mountains. Denali National Park is about 15-20 minutes away but the town of Healy does not offer much. Communication with the hosts was very good. Would absolutely stay here again. "
