The spa was great, the little access bracelet they give you is great, the food is great, the views and beach is awesome, and “some” of the staff are very nice.
At first glance, everything looks beautiful but as you begin to really look at everything, you see damaged furniture, poorly repaired things, things not cleaned and the worst for me is the cushion used for the beach chairs, the cabana and any other cloth item you sit and lounge on. It was all filthy and unkept. Yes, I can use a towel to put over it but those things should not be so dirty and stained up.
The app never worked so we had difficulty making reservations for diner and when my friend went to get assistance, after watching the woman assist a white person, she was told maybe it’s full and received no assistance from that staff member, so she had to find someone else to help her.
The bed and pillows look so comfortable but it was not for me and my back has been killing me since day two of being here. This complaint is purely based on preference. The mattress is hard but I like soft mattresses.
Lastly, my friends and I are stuck here due to Hurricane Mellisa for 5 extra days and I feel like their “Distress Rates” should be cheaper in these types of situations.
