Secluded 2 Bedroom Sanctuary on 20 Acres in the Heart of the Bourbon Trail

Want a place to unwind, relax, enjoy nature and experience tranquility, serenity and peacefulness? Experience what our guests are repeatedly saying about their stay! Once you arrive you will not want to leave! This small gem is a cozy 2 bedroom cabin nestled at the end of a long private gravel road, surrounded by trees and gently rolling farmland. Your very own private retreat!

Inside you'll experience a spacious living area for relaxing, playing games, reading, watching tv. Many games and movies are provided for your enjoyment as well as free Wi-Fi. A fully equipped kitchen is ready for those who enjoy cooking their own meals.

Awake in the mornings and be greeted by wild deer grazing in the fields; birds singing; and geese relaxing by the pond. Take a walk and enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding hills, sunrises, sunsets, pond, birds and other wildlife. Sit back and relax in a rocking chair or in a swing on one of the porches. There are also benches around the pond where you can watch the fish jump as well as the sun rays glittering on the water. Catch and release fishing is permitted in the pond. Wrap up your day sitting around the large fire pit that has plenty of seating for everyone.

Sundance Acres is located in the heart of bourbon country. Only 6 miles from the Bluegrass Parkway; 19 miles from Bardstown; 8 miles to historic Bloomfield; and 5 miles to Chowning Lane Boat Ramp on Taylorsville Lake. Located just 41 miles to Lexington's Blue Grass Airport and 46 miles to Louisville International Airport.

Wow! This was hands down the best overnight experience we've ever had. This property is an absolute gem and the hosts are simply amazing. What they have created and the experience they provide, needs to not only be acknowledged but celebrated. Every last detail is 5 star plus. The property is simply breathtaking, the house is absolutely beautiful, and the furnishings and decor are so well thought out. There was even a stunningly beautiful fall display that had been made to the left of the driveway. It welcomed us home every night...the cherry on top! Everything in the home is modern. The kitchen is huge, stocked with anything you could possibly need for cooking, the shower is simply to die for, the beds are super comfy, and the living room is so incredibly cozy. The level of cleanliness and tidiness is unmatched. It truly felt like our home away from home. If you are looking for a true getaway to unplug, unwind, and just relax, you'd be hard pressed to find a better property.

This property is amazing! If you are looking for comfort, peace and serenity, this is it. The home is lovely, they have thought of everything. There wasn’t anything we needed to bring other than our own groceries. There is comfortable outdoor seating on both porches. We saw many birds and a few deer run through the property. Husband fished in the pond and caught a few tiny fish. Saw turtles there too! The home is beautifully decorated. When you are here, it feels like home. Not a rental property. We are checking our calendars to see when we can go back. Thank you Lori Jo for a wonderful stay!

The cabin was as private as advertised! It was cozy and immaculate, with all expected amenities and a few nice additions (snack basket, laundry pods, etc.). The check in process was simple, and the owners were readily available if we needed them. If you are looking for a quiet and remote stay, you won't be disappointed!

One of the best we have stayed at! Clean, beautiful house. Quiet area, no road noise, beautiful view to drink your coffee too in the morning, very well stocked kitchen supplies! Wow… what a great place. Likely my favorite VRBO I’ve ever stayed in.Came to Kentucky over the weekend of September 20, 2025 for a triathlon. Chose this place because it was in the middle of the race course and we were impressed with the beauty of the grounds and the stillness of the area. It’s a bit out of the way and it’s exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, we came primarily for a race but I would love to reserve this place again for a more relaxing time. The cabin is perfect sized for 2-4 people and has all the amenities you might need for a stay. Groceries and restaurants are within a 20-minute drive through the winding country roads. Evenings and mornings are perfect for a stroll around the pond or the area and you’re going to be serenaded with the sounds of all the wildlife. If you’re looking for a place to get away and relax come here. If you’re looking for that place where you come home more relaxed than when you left. Stay here.

This was a true retreat. So clean comfortable & had everything you’d possibly need. We loved the outdoor space to relax in the mornings & evenings. Lori Jo thought of everything & even reached out prior to trip to share places to eat we also chatted after the trip. She is a wonderful host. Would definitely recommend & return. Lori Jo is an excellent host and responded quickly to all my questions. Her home is very clean, well decorated and has a comfortable couch to read or watch tv. The rocking chairs and porch swings make sitting outside very enjoyable. The queen bed is very firm (this is not a complaint as I know all beds are different) and we did leave a day early as my husband didn't sleep well. We caught a few bluegill and some bass while there. Bloomfield is just a short drive and Ernie's Tavern is a neat place to stop in and visit.

Sundance Acres is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Very private yet within close proximity to area attractions. We enjoyed Taylorsville lake area as well as Kentucky Horse Farm. We especially enjoyed fishing in the the pond and walks on the property. The cabin is immaculate and well stocked. Check in and out was effortless and hosts were very responsive. I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to this area of Kentucky.

Sundance Acres was the perfect get away for our family of three. The home itself is clean and beautiful. The property itself is peaceful and extremely well maintained. We enjoyed fishing and the fire pit each night. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The beds were comfortable and every convenience was available. The owners were highly responsive to any question we had, but overall, they have already thought of everything needed to make your stay easy and worry free. Check in and out was a breeze. The location was within a relatively short distance of many distilleries and historic Bardstown. I cannot give the property and the owners enough compliments. Do not hesitate to book this property. We enjoyed every minute we were there and hope to make a return trip in the future.

Heaven on earth!

This peaceful and serene cabin has absolutely everything you could want or need. It far exceeded our expectations and was loaded with beautiful decor inside and out! Birds, deer, and a quiet pond made it even more perfect.Our only regret was that we didn’t book it for a longer stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. Top notch from owner communication, cleanliness, location….. Right in the middle of most distillery locations. Just a short drive east or west and you’re there. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay a night. There’s no doubt we’d stay here again. You can select this property without any hesitation.

Relaxing Weekend

We were so excited to open the door of this property to see the beautiful decor, and the open floor plan. The first thing we noticed was the scent in the air; whatever they are using smells amazing and I want it for my house! The next thing we notice is how extremely clean it was. I was so impressed by everything, including the outdoor space, the items available for use inside and outside, the brochures about local attractions. The host also contacted us once we arrived, making sure that if we needed anything to reach out. They really thought of everything, and have much more available for their guests than other places we have stayed. We spent most of our time outside on the front and back porch and one evening sat down by the pond. It was so serene and the sunsets were beautiful! Another great thing about this property is the location to so many different things. You’re just a 20 minute drive from Bardstown and Lawrenceburg, and only a 40 minute drive from Frankfort. I could say so many more good things about the property. It was just the two of us for this trip, but we think our kids would love it here, too, and we look forward to coming back soon! Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful property.

Perfect Retreat

A friend and I needed a girls’ weekend away and this was the perfect place. Peaceful and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch drinking coffee and watching the birds visiting the feeders. If we stayed longer, we would have made use of the fire pit one night.10/10 would recommend if you just need to get away for a bit. Will definitely stay again when back in the area.

Awesome little cabin!

This cabin is far off the road so its super quiet, the rolling hills and pond are beautiful. The cleanest and most well stocked vacation rental we've ever stayed in. Its in the perfect location to stay if you plan to travel all over Kentucky like we did. Highly recommend!
