"Very clean, spacious, well equipped suite. Not a big fan of the "Hunted House" decoration though. The stove fan was very loud. Outside deck was a bonus! Enjoyed having coffee there in the morning. It was a pleasant stay over all. Thank you!"

"We loved our stay at the blue skies property! Clean, quiet, well stocked property and a great location. Close to everything in north Nanaimo and easily accessible from many major roads. The only thing that made us give it one 4 star vs all 5 stars was the fact check-in was between 6pm-10pm, which wasn’t disclosed on the original listing. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue but since we were driving from AB and dealing with busy roads & ferries this meant we had only one ferry we could take to...

"This property picture, after seeing it in person, looks like the online picture was taken maybe 5 - 10 years ago. The shower is basically a closet in the hallway and the beds are completely uncomfortable. There was also an infestation of ants and, after contacting VRBO, instead of the manager taking care of our situation, they `offered' a can of ant spray outside of the door. I requested a fumigation and, although we were incredibly busy (we were working on our visit to Nanaimo) they requested...

"The second floor apartment is a very generous size. There is a great view of Departure Bay from one of the bedrooms . It is nicely furnished including a well equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable . The location is right on Departure Bay on a long beach ."

"Unfortunately I didn’t actually get to stay here as we were affected by the wildfire evacuations in the okanagan. But they were excellent to deal with. Very understanding and helpful with the situation. They were willing to work with me to compensate my family in a fair to both parties solution. Would absolutely recommend them to friends and family."

"Really impressed with the unit. Great views. Very quiet which was what we wanted. Close to great beaches and trails The only negative would be the mention of a cafe, grocery of sorts and restaurant in the policy and about the place link. It should state that the cafe etc is currently under renovations. The deck was comfy and the fire bowl a great addition. Enjoyed overlooking the marina listening to all the boaters chitchat."

"I am in BC for work and had to stay over the weekend so I took the ferry from Horseshoe Inlet to Nanaimo. The ferry is easy and an enjoyable ride. The Savvy Seagull was a great place to stay. Very clean and the fireplace made it feel very comfortable in early Spring. Ray was very helpful and accommodating to my late check in. Thanks for everything!"
