"There were stunning views, it was very relaxing, and we had excellent communication with the host. We couldn’t be happier, it was perfect! Kayaking was the best part. Plenty to see and do in the area as well."

"Great place, great owner!"

"Our group spent a fantastic 4 nights here. Beautiful deck with a world-class view. Extensive amenities in the kitchen. The kayaks and fishing poles were appreciated. Very private - feels like the lake is there just for you. The deck can get a lot of sun but the overhang next to the guest house is convenient for anyone who gets overheated. Having an ice maker available with a large group was definitely appreciated. This place is fantastic and we're already planning our next trip down!"

"It may be titled "humble beginnings," but the host treats you like a VIP guest and goes the extra mile to make you feel special! The house is lovely and has everything you could ask for in a rental. I made a note in my original email that we were staying for my birthday weekend, and Elle left us the cutest basket with all sort of goodies to make my weekend special! Would highly recommend!"

"Elliot was available and courteous reservation and check in easy. Upon arrival 1st floor bathroom sink was not draining well, 2nd floor bathroom tub does not drain well hot and cold water are reversed sink water is also reversed. Missing sheet rock in dining room. All walls have either nails popping or water damage. We only slept at the residence one evening. I manage multiple high end properties on Nantucket and maintaining them year round. "The property has character. It is charming, clean, and ideally located in a quiet neighborhood . We were able to get to Walmart and Big Y for some snacks and toiletries and to Mohegan Sun for dinner. It was stocked with the necessities and has plenty of space for everyone. We all had a great time. The host was very responsive to all my questions before and during our stay. We would stay there again."

"Perfect location to see everything we planned in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Communication with Kelly was great, a slight issue with check in, but handled better than we would have expected. The snacks were great to have for our daily roadtrips, nice touch. Did not get a chance to use the spa or clubhouse, so busy enjoying the great outdoors. Would stay agin if ever in the area."

"One of the nicest places that we have stayed in. Every possible comfort. Old Mystic is lovely-much quieter than the seaport. We prefer it to the port. Our dog Ripley loved the abundant green space next to the house. "

"We had a wonderful stay. Very peaceful, quiet, beautiful views. We also really enjoyed Hopeville Pond State Park which was only a 5 min drive. "

"The fenced in yard and everything was great for our pets. Communication with the hosts was also excellent! Everything was clean, the A/C window units and ceiling fans did the job of keeping us cool. All the appliances worked, including the washer and dryer in the basement. "

"This was the cutest room! The space was great! Exactly as shown and described in the listing. Everything was very clean! Kcups provided and cream! The bed was so comfy!! We started our honeymoon here and were left with such a nice note from property owners. 9min drive from Mystic drawbridge area. We will absolutely recommend and stay here again.Only negative we had - The room next to or above us, when the shower was turned on was very loud right at the head of our bed. "Tivemos problemas já na chegada: nos deram um quarto para deficientes, apesar de não ser essa a reserva, obrigando a trocar de quarto. No outro o telefone não funcionava e não vier consertar apesar de solicitado. Pedimos 4 travesseiros e nos deram apenas dois alegando que não havia mais no hotel! Incrível. No quarto o blackout é ruim e deixa muito a desejar. O pior, foi valett, onde a espera nossa de todos os demais hóspedes foi de mais de uma hora, sem exagero. Tudo isso não condiz com uma diária de $488. Não é 5 estrelas!"

"Rooms look dated and small, with a mirror that feels a bit creepy (seems like those one sided mirrors). Bathroom is ok. Price is a bit high for what it serves when you compare it to other hotels - since it was only for one night, is ok, but I would not recommend for longer stays."
