"We booked an overnight here while attending a surprise 50th birthday party. We were met by Bruce who showed us to our apartment, we were over the moon with it, it was absolutely 1st class. We finished our night off in The Star Hotel bar downstairs, so was just a short trip upstairs to bed, which i thought would have been noisy tbh, but we never heard a thing. We would definitely recommend staying here, great little place."

"Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. "

"Room could do with some minor touch ups as showing signs of wear but generally okay and for what I paid for 10 nights I would consider value for money. Very basic but I knew that when booking and as I was working away I just needed somewhere to sleep and shower and this was perfect for that. Bed was comfortable, staff friendly on reception and room was warm and cosy. Enjoyed the stay, would stay again next time i'm working up in Aberdeen.
