I requested an early checkout due to a family emergencyāmy father was hospitalized and in critical condition. His physician advised me to stay at the hospital, as my father was in his final days. I contacted Expedia, and they informed me that any exception would depend on the hotel managerās discretion. Unfortunately, when Expedia attempted to speak with the manager and staff, they were told no one spoke English.
I also spoke directly with the manager, explained the situation, and asked for some compassion. Sadly, his response was cold and dismissiveāhe arrogantly said, ārules are rules,ā and insisted there was nothing he could do. Given the circumstances, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of empathy and basic human decency.
