"The Larix Hotel is conveniently located to Main Street with good restaurants. The hotel itself has some nice seating areas where you can bring your own drinks & offers a common area with wine glasses, a fridge to store your food as well as another fridge with water bottles, juice boxes. They have coffee & tea available as well. It really has more than you’d expect from a hotel. I would highly recommend this small boutique hotel as a nice get away."

"This is a stellar property! The fellow who works there is pretty much responsible for everything and does a fantastic job - very personable, pleasant, and helpful. The room we wonderful and the balcony provided stunning views of the lake. The close proximity to the Balfour Golf Course is also a plus. I wouldn't hesitate to return back for another stay!"

"The property is in a great location - a few minutes from downtown and so not as crowded, very rustic, peaceful and quiet. The property is big and guests can walk around the property, lie on a hammock under the trees or sit on chairs with a view of the lake and mountain. "The his as the worst hotel/motel experience ever. The air conditioner aimed frigid air right at the bed, No possible adjustments. The only other option was to turn it off and swelter in the heat, Couldn’t sleep and was glad when the night was over. Don’t stay here!"

"I had a third floor room and the elevator quit working after I arrived. Having bad knees and using a cane, this was a major inconvenience. Staff started looking for a room on ground floor the next morning and found one. Staff was very helpful in moving my luggage. Settling in to the ground floor room, I find that the bathroom fan is rattling loudly and unable to use. The staff said that they have no idea when parts were coming for the fan or the elevator. I was disappointed with my stay here."
