The "Boathouse" at beautiful Smith Mountain Lake

Relax and enjoy your new favorite vacation spot at Bernard's Landing! The "Boathouse" features a beautiful view of the water with day docks just a few feet away. The master bedroom provides a super-comfortable king-sized bed with a private bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds. both bedrooms are equipped with black-out curtains. Linens are provided at no additional charge!
Large, flat-screen TVs are located in the family room and master bedroom. Free wifi included. A complete laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer is provided. Enjoy the well-equipped kitchen (Yes! We have a Keurig!) with your choice of dining out on the balcony or inside. Don't feel like cooking? Napoli on the Lake is an award-winning restaurant just steps away. Amenities at Bernard's include a beautiful sandy beach, boat ramp access, two outdoor swimming pools, a kiddie pool, playground, tennis, and pickleball courts -- PLUS -- indoor facilities include a pool, hot tub, sauna, game room, fitness center, racquetball and more.
Rent a boat while you are here or courtesy docks are available so you can bring your own boat (https://bernardslanding.com/guests-renters/boat-and-trailer-stickers/).
Minimum stay is 7 days with check in/check out on Saturday only.

something for everyone

My family just returned from The Boathouse following our second vacation at this stunningly gorgeous location. The weather was very hot the first trip. This time it was cooler. There are so many options at Smith Mountain Lake, and specifically at Bernard's Landing, that having a wonderful vacation is basically inevitable. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful

The location of the condo is fabulous, right on the lake! The Peninsula at Bernard’s Landing is a fabulous spot. The boat rental is just around the corner, the pool is walking distance, and so is the restaurant. The condo has beautiful views from the living room/kitchen area. The condo itself is very clean and cozy. The kitchen has everything in it for cooking. We felt very welcomed with the thoughtful touches when we first arrived. Highly recommend.

SML condo

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely 2 bedroom, conveniently located condo. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the deck. The beds were comfortable and amenities were nice. We appreciated not having to purchase paper towels and toilet tissue. Thank you!

Beautiful Condo

The Boathouse is absolutely beautiful. Pictures don’t do it justice. We were so comfortable. Ginny and Eric are always quick to respond to any questions. Snacks and coffee that were provided were much appreciated. Highly recommend this condo.

Family Vacation

We have never been to SML before so this was our first time. To start the pictures do not do justice to the condo- it is SO much lovelier in person. Ginny was amazing and let us check in earlier. When we arrived they had some water in the fridge and even snacks! (The kids were over the moon about that)! The sandy beach and outdoor pool/clubhouse are all within easy walking distance. The condo was well stocked with olive oil, seasoning, keurig coffee pods, aluminum paper and just items you always worry a rental property won’t have. We bought extra coffee pods to leave for the next guest and give back to the owners! We had an amazing vacation- we used the kayaking services they provided to us in their welcome packet. It was an experience my kids won’t forget- they loved it. The owner of that company was amazing too! It was a perfect trip- we did have one issue with the dryer that stopped working but again Ginny was amazing and they called someone right away (this is not something in their control but I wanted to call it out as she called right away and was so kind about it)! 100/10 would recommend to anyone! Especially if they have kids! My mom now wants to come with us next year she was so jealous! Thank you Ginny!

Best lake trip ever

We just returned from the Boathouse and enjoyed every minute of it. The unit itself is spotless, large, and inviting, and it has an incredible view of the lake. This is a lake lovers' paradise. Ginny and Eric were extremely kind and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Loved the Boathouse!!

My wife and I booked this house somewhat late in the summer, but could not have been happier. The location is perfect, close to marina services and restaurants, and on an ideal spot on the lake. Kick back on the deck and enjoy beautiful sunrises. The house was extremely clean and completely stocked with anything you would need to have a great time. We will definitely consider this home for future travel.

Great spot on SML!

There are so many good things to say about this condo. Location and view are amazing. Large courtesy dock right out your back door. Comfortable living space and bedrooms, well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Ginny was very prompt with communication & helpful with questions. We would happily return!

Relaxing, tranquil, great place to recharge

The “Boathouse” was spectacular! The cleanliness was top notch! Views of the lake are breathtaking. I could sit on the deck and watch my husband and boys fish. I highly recommend this property!

Boat Hair Don't Care

We absolutely loved staying at the Boathouse! The condo was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The views from the balcony were stunning. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the boats pass by. The docks were located conveniently outside our unit and was nice for parking our boat and jet ski. Our host provided everything we needed and more to enjoy our time at the lake. She even went above and beyond by mailing us personal belongings we accidentally left behind. This was one of the best vacations we've had!

Wish our vacation was longer!

We loved our stay at the Boathouse! This place is so much better than the pictures. Very clean, has everything you need and more, it is very beautifully decorated. The view is absolutely breathtaking, goes well with morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The balcony has enough room to do yoga with visitors like huge gorgeous butterflies and humming birds. The king bed is super comfortable. We loved the cozy clean beach with hammocks. Also, we found the community club very useful: clean warm indoor and outdoor pools, the sauna and steam room. There are also a gym and tennis courts. The outdoor pool is huge and deep enough for diving, and also has a fenced playground for kids. We are very grateful for our time there, thank you Ginny and Eric!

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful time lake side in this lovely condo. It’s newly renovated, clean and nicely decorated. Bernard's Landing also has nice amenities. We appreciated the open lines of communications and hope to stay here again!
