Cozy Lakefront Condo with Kayaks at Bernard's Landing on Smith Mountain Lake

Welcome to the Petite Lake Retreat! Our cozy, one-bedroom, one-bathroom, lakefront condo is located in the beautiful resort community of Bernard's Landing on Smith Mountain Lake. Steps away from the main marina and the popular restaurant, Napoli on the Lake, you can relax at the nearby beach, swim in one of the onsite pools, or tour around Smith Mountain Lake by watercraft. The space -
The Petite Lake Retreat is a recently renovated, beautifully furnished, one-bedroom, one-bathroom, lakefront condo on one of Smith Mountain Lakes' premier resorts. Our space is ideal for individuals on personal or business travel, couples, as well as small families with young children (Please note that Franklin County restricts one-bedroom and one-bathroom short-term rentals to occupancy of two adults and two small children under three).

Great care and consideration were taken in tastefully designing the space to create a cozy, relaxing, and comfortable oasis. The condo boasts a gorgeous lakefront view near the marina, a bright and airy living space, a new sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, an electric grill, cable television, and a smart TV where you can log into your personal streaming service accounts.

The condo also has a laundry closet with a full-size washer, a dryer, and a bedroom that offers a new memory foam mattress and a folding door that our guests can choose to leave open or close off from the living space. For your entertainment, we also have a selection of board games, card games, books, tennis racquets, and pickleball racquets available for our guests to use. As an additional amenity, our guests may use two kayaks (kayaks carts and life jackets of varying sizes- infant, child, and adult) that we have stored onsite. You can launch the kayaks from any dock on the premises or you can cart it to the beach across the street and launch it from there!

We have equipped the condo with a complimentary tea and coffee bar for your enjoyment. We have a variety of coffee makers (k-cup, drip coffee maker, and a French press) and tea kettles (electric and stovetop) available and we also provide a starter supply of coffee, tea, creamer, and sweeteners for your stay.

The back deck has an amazing view of the lake and the main marina. We have placed new patio chairs and side tables there for you to sit back and relax while taking in the beautiful view!

Although we are not a fully baby-proof condo, we do provide outlet covers and cabinet locks for cabinets that house cleaning solutions. We also provide children's plates, drinkware, and utensils for our youngest guests.

o The space is professionally cleaned and sanitized after each guest.
o Sound machine in the bedroom.
o Wood-burning fireplace (available October-April; please note that we do not provide firewood)
o Guests have full access to resort amenities (subject to availability and seasonality) which include:
o Two outdoor pools (subject to seasonality) 1 indoor pool, and a kiddie pool
o Exercise Room
o Sauna and steam room
o Pickleball and Tennis courts
o Basketball court
o Sandy Beach area with umbrellas and a roped-off swimming area in the lake
o Pool Table, library, and clubhouse social room
o Boat and jet ski rental
o Courtesy boat slips are available to our guests ($20 per day; arrangements can be made to pay the fee with the Bernard's Landing front office). Your boat or jet ski must be registered with Bernard’s Landing and a decal must be displayed at all times during your stay. The watercraft decals allow the use of the floating courtesy docks that are conveniently located along the property’s entire shoreline. Each watercraft decal you purchase comes with a complimentary trailer decal for access to the storage area and a passcode for access to the boat ramp. The use of docks and the storage area is based on availability.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire condo and the back deck. Please note that there are 17 stair steps from the parking lot down to the ground-level condo unit. Guests also have full access to the resort amenities as available.

Other things to note:

While we are dog lovers and have our own dog (which does accompany us to the condo on occasion), the Bernard's Landing HOA regulations restrict our short-term renters from bringing pets to the property during their stay. For security purposes, we have an exterior Ring doorbell located near the front door and it’s coverage is of the hallway in front of the condos door.
