"The place should be shut down. Place was filthy and we couldn't check in because the staff walked out. Left for 2 hours and room was still not cleaned. Wouldn't let our dog stay there and I don't like the dog."

Being positioned just down the street from Glensheen was incredible, and the quiet Lakeside neighborhood was a perfect home base. Having one of our favorite Duluth coffee shops right next door was a real asset, as was the easy access to the Lakewalk. "The Rose Suite at The Poppyseed Inn is lovely as is the shared space between the two suites! It was perfect for my husband and me on our one-night stay on our way to The Cities. The space is cozy, warm, and welcoming and had everything we needed and more. There is an amazing bakery across the street and delicious dining within walking distance.
