Maybole is a former burgh town of around 5,000, located in South
Ayrshire, Scotland. It is situated 9 miles south of Ayr and 50 miles
southwest of Glasgow. The town is bypassed by the A77.
It provides an ideal base for exploring Scotland’s forgotten south-
west corner. It lies within the UNESCO Biosphere and close to The
Galloway Forrest Park. Culzean Castle is 5 miles drive, with
Turnberry Hotel and golf courses only 7 miles away.
Burns Cottage, the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and Heads of
Ayr Farm Park are all about 10 miles away. The gentle local
countryside boasts numerous cycling routes and it lies on The
Whithorn Way walking /cycling route. Local beaches are within 15
minutes’ drive.

Ladyland Cottage is conveniently situated within 15 miles of three
championship golf courses and numerous local golf courses too.
The town is served by a regular rail link from Glasgow and the
cottage is within walking distance of the station. There are several
shops, including a Co-Op, chemist, and a medical practice. There
are local restaurants, take aways and farm shops.
