"My grandson and I very much enjoyed our stay at Charles City. Our first morning we got up so late we missed the breakfast. The next morning, we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel has a high standard of cleanliness. Our room was wonderful. The public areas are very well-kept, and the breakfast area looked terrific. "The only thing was that the pancake machine was not dialed in so they were under done and gummy. Fresh fruit was a welcome addition and the size of the milk was great not having to pour it out of a pitcher was nice too. Staff was friendly and courteous. "
