I stayed at this hotel in Manchester for about 4 days in July 2025. It is beautifully located -- right in the middle of the city centre. It is also spotlessly clean.
However, even though I had a "studio apartment", the room, while very well-equipped (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, utensils, etc.) and beautifully furnished, was much more compact than I had imagined it would be.
There was also a feature that had escaped my notice while I was booking the facility: the room is cleaned only once a week! Since it was the first time I had encountered such a feature, it came as quite a surprise. It is a potential deal-breaker for me. I prefer arrangements in which either they charge you for a room clean or give you a small discount (say, $5) if you choose not to have your room cleaned that day.
I must say, though, that the staff and service, particularly during breakfast in the morning, were outstanding. Rachel Adam was a member of the staff who happened to be assigned to my table who, I noticed, went out of her way to ensure that the guests felt welcome and took the trouble to be helpful to them even outside of her immediate responsibilities (things to do in the city with small kids, transportation, and such).
Most hotels I have stayed at tend to have large rooms, daily room cleaning, but poor service. This one had reversed the equation.
