Perfectly located to enjoy the tranquillity of the Madeira countryside, yet within easy access to facilities and the picturesque town and beach of Ponta do Sol, Casa Vista Mar is a lovely two-bedroom villa in Madeira with wonderful country and sea-views.
It is the perfect place from which to either drive down to the seaside and costal villages or explore the mountains and the wonderful walking in Madeira.
The beautiful views over the countryside and the sea are enjoyed from all rooms - from the spacious open plan living area with large picture windows that open to the front veranda and terrace and also from both double bedrooms, both of which have large sliding doors with juliette balconies and en-suite bathrooms.

Property Description
Access to Casa Vista Mar is via a half set of steps from the street level, which takes you to the gorund floor terrace. The main door on the rear of the propery opens to the hallway, form where stairs lead down to the garagem and up to the bedrooms.
Ahead is the open plan living area, with large panoramic sliding doors that allow you to enjoy those wonderful views. A sitting area with flat-screen TV is complemented by a dining area and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, along with a family bathroom.
Sliding panoramic windows open to the covered front veranda with outdoor seating furniture, and front terrace with outdoor table and chairs and a portable barbecue – the perfect place to experience a little of the Madeira countryside and those amazing views.
Upstairs are the wo bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms and both with large windows to the south and to the side. Juliette balconies allow you to enjoy the sun and the scents of the countryside.
Below is the large garage, for up to two cars, where you wil find the washing machine.

Access to the villa is up some steps to the main terrace are. The main entrance door is to the rear of Casa Vista Mar, to the right of the access steps.

Nearby
In the surrounding areas are a few snack-bars and mini-markets. The nearest ones are 700m away.
Ponta do Sol, 3 Km and 10 minutes’ drive away, is a beautifully maintained traditional and very picturesque village on the sea, with pretty winding pedestrianized streets, and trendy bars and restaurants. In front is a rocky beach with snack-bar (open during the summer months).
Behind and above the village (on the main roundabout) is a supermarket, bakery and café, a small shopping center, and more cafés and restaurants.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful and varied, and is known for its waterfall and lush vegetation. Access to the mountains and the Paul da Serra plateau, with its many walks, is easy with various roads leading from this area.
Ribeira Brava is the next larger town, with more eating places and shops, two larger branded supermarkets and a beach with access to the sea.
Funchal is a mere 30 minutes away (26 Kms) and the airport 42 Km and around 50 minutes.

Cleaning
Cleaning and linen change is provided every 7 days.
All linen and towels are provided.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.

This property is a self check-in unit and check-in time is 16:00 or after. A code will be provided for access to the property.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out. It’s always confirmed on a request basis.

The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented for all arriving visitors on or after 01 September 2024 across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities.
This applies to all visitors to Madeira aged 13 or over, and costs 2€ per person per day up to a maximum of 14€ per person.
Your accommodation is responsible for collecting these amounts and paying them on your behalf to the applicable municipality.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:




Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) in the direction of Funchal and after this, signs to Ribeira Brava.

When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 25 minutes) follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol.
The sliproad ends on a roundabout - take the 1st exit and you will be descending in the direction of the sea.

When reaching the next roundabout turn right into the tunnel, sign-posted Ponta do Sol.
At the end of the tunnel you will find another roundabout –take the 2nd exit signposted to Ponta do Sol
You will enter another tunnel. At the end you will reach the main Ponta do Sol roundabout. Take the 1st exit to your right signposted to Paul da Serra and Canhas.

Drive up the hill for approximately 3km onto ER222 until you reach a T Junction, turn right here signposted Junta de Freguesia (500m) to Estrada da Igreja da Piedade.

Drive uphill for about 500m until you come to a T-junction, turn right onto Estrada das Murteiras and continue driving in the same direction for another 500m until you come to a new T-junction. Here turn right onto Estrada do Livramento/Levada do Poiso.
After turnign right onto Estra do Livramento/Levada do Poiso and keep driving for about 900m until you find a new T-junction.

 When you reach the recycling bins turn right down the hill onto Caminho do Lombo de São João and keep driving until you find another junction. At the chapple turn right onto Travessa da Capela and you will find Casa Vista Mar on your right hand side (7).

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié Madère dans son ensemble et Ponta do Sol est un très beau village avec des bons restaursnts et une plage parfaite pour admirer le coucher du soleil. La maison avec des feux chambres séparées avec chacunes leur salle de bain est parfaite pour un séjour de deux couples. Nous avons cuisiné à la naison et tout y est. Seul bénol, la maison est assez haut dans la ville et la route pour s’y rendre est assez vertigineuse. Il fait environ 12 minutes de la maison pour se rendre à l’autoroute. De là, l’ensemble de l’ile est fscilement accessible.
