One of the most recognizable buildings in Ukraine, Lviv Opera house is also among most beautiful European theatres. Named after world famous opera singer Solomiya Krushelnytska, who was born and raised in Lviv, the Opera House comprises various European architectural styles fashioned in all their lavishness. At least two versions of the St. George Cathedral were built before the final construction of the church as it is seen today. The Cathedral of St. George became the mother congregation of the Greek-Catholic religion in Ukraine. The St. George Cathedral in Lviv, is home to one of the most treasured relics, which was brought to the cathedral by Bishop Jiseph Shumlianskyi in 1674. It is the Icon of the Virgin Mary, and is a spectacular and preserved artifact. The interior was decorated with luxurious embellishments created by the local artistic talents of Lviv. Pinsel, the sculptor of the cathedral, created the spectacular St. George

One church you should not miss is the elegant 1363 Armenian Cathedral with its ancient-feeling interior. The placid cathedral courtyard is a maze of arched passageways and squat buildings festooned with intricate Caucasian detail. Stepping into the courtyard feels like entering another era – gravestones bearing inscriptions in the 54 letters of the Armenian alphabet pave the floor. Located in the city's Old Town, north of the market square. Until 1945 it was the cathedral of the Armenian Catholic Archdiocese of Lviv, since 2000 it serves as a cathedral of the Eparchy of Ukraine of the Armenian Apostolic Church

The staff was superb; extremely friendly and helpful. Hardworking troopers during hard times, considering that most have family members fighting in the war. Under different circumstances, I would have stayed longer. I am sure this area will be overrun with tourists, once Ukraine wins!
