"My wife and I first stayed here in the 80's. For a while, we came once a year. We hadn't been for about 12 years, so we decided to go back to Boothbay to see what changed. The town is still beautiful, but it did have a little different feel to it from when we first started going. The hotel is in a great location, in the center of town, overlooking the harbor. It is now owned by The Lafayette Hotel Group. The full service restaurant that they used to have is now more of a bar/lounge, where you...

"The inn is clean and the property is very well maintained. The staff are very welcoming. We arrived late in the day and didn’t want to drive back up the peninsula to get dinner so decided to eat at the on-site restaurant and it was really good. After dinner we walked to the waterfront to watch the sunset and sat at Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. It was lovely, quiet and relaxing and the atmosphere invites you to take a slower pace."

"Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely hosts with horses and sheep. Similar interests in spinning and knitting. Denise teaches spinning so if you want to try your hand, she has extra wheels. Only negative for us oldies- bedrooms upstairs and bathrooms down with having to navigate steep narrow steps."

"We enjoyed staying at this site but we had difficulty with the address. I would recommend putting the number 67 on the outside of the mud room door, which would make it much easier to find the location A member of our party had difficulty sleeping on the pull out couch and recommended a thicker mattress. We also smelled cigarettes upon entry into the building but once the door was open for a short time the smell went away. I would definitely stay at this site again when I the area."
