Lovely Los Altos
Beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. Easy access to walking trails, downtown Los Altos and short drive to Stanford University. Thank you Joanna for a wonderful stay and will certainly rent again!

Idyllic setting in a beautifully appointed wing of a lovely home
The cottage like wing of this home was completely private, set in a gorgeous natural wooded area of Los Altos. The 2 bedrooms were spacious with very high ceilings, arched windows and especially comfy beds. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one could possibly need and living/dining room was a welcome refuge after a day out and about. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, it was a 10+.

Great location
We enjoyed the little cottage in a wonderful setting for walking and enjoying the countryside, yet close in to many towns in the Bay Area. The host was super easy to communicate with, and helpful. It was a lovely reunion with my friend from Texas.

Beautiful and peaceful neighborhood
The guest house was perfect for our stay, while my husband had a medical procedure done at Stanford Hospital. It was quiet, and peaceful, and a beautiful neighborhood for walking.

Wonderful visit!
We spent 3 days in Los Altos visiting friends. The house was comfortable and very well equipped. The directions were clear and the owner quickly responded to questions. The house is a short drive from downtown Los Altos and is 20 -30 minutes from Stanford and the Baylands Wildlife Refuge (where we saw lots of shorebirds).

Amazing!!
There are no words to describe how wonderful Joanna and Mike are! Their home is just as beautiful as them! The home is perfectly located, right in the middle of the Bay Area. They were always willing to help with all the Bay Area had to offer! We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to leave. I would stay at their home again in a heartbeat!! No hot water!
The location of this stay was wonderful due to its close proximity to Stanford. We did experience an issue during our stay. No hot water! Of course we didn't notice until right before we were leaving for the day when we went to take showers. Also the water pressure is a small trickle coming out of a very small sad shower head. Maybe the owner forgot to turn on the hot water? Of course we could have addressed it with the owner but we're gone all day and evening leaving early the next morning, so we just let it go.

After Kathleen texted me regarding no hot water, I told her to ran the water a little longer due to this is a big house even the guest house has it own water heater. She confirmed she had hot water and no other complain regarding the shower head. Please check the other platform airbxx , we had wonderful reviews. The 99% guests are very nice but there is always one you can not please. In the last few years I only had total two who had no patience to wait for the hot water, non complained about sad shower head. Sorry the house did not meet your high standard.

Great Neighborhood, Bird watching
The property was clean and had good fixtures. The house is amazing with its tall ceilings and chandeliers, the yard is better, with lots of seating possibilities and quiet except when school is in. I don't mind hearing kids play! We loved a chance to live in a neighborhood so exclusive and full of California charm.

Beautiful area……
Nice neighborhood, beautiful property and clean and comfortable guesthouse we have stayed for 12 nights. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place in this area….

Nice location
House is small with limited sitting space and no dining table. Rooms and bathroom were nice. The kitchen had ants which became an increased problem as the visit continued

Alicia, Thank you for your review. The guest house is not designed for 3 adults daily permanently living but it is great for travelers. The temperature was 103 degree during your visit, ( the record high as I experienced in this area ) ants tried to come into the house. There are ants spray In the kitchen cabinet. See a most recent guest review who was from AIRB Exceptional property and rare value, especially considering the location in one of the most coveted neighborhoods in the Bay Area, or really, anywhere. Meticulously clean, tasteful interior spaces, and tranquil outdoor spaces that encourage relaxation (the hammock was a big plus). Parking is a snap right next to the entry. Extremely safe location near the upscale restaurants and shops of downtown Los Altos. Great vibe and super communication with the owners.

This was a great spot for our family of three. Perfectly clean, very comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. The property is beautiful, and we enjoyed spending some time outdoors on the patio!

Wonderful accommodations
The guest house was perfect for our visit to the Bay Area. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to quaint, downtown Los Altos. We enjoyed hiking, wine tasting & the coastal areas of Santa Cruz & Half Moon Bay while visiting our son, who lives in San Jose. The hosts were very accessible via VRBO during the booking & our stay.

Convenient Location
Upscale property in forested neighborhood. Near to major highways and downtown Los Altos. Lacks dining table…had to eat off folding card table. Nice bedrooms but no dressers. Pleasant and helpful hosts.

Thank you for the review. Both bedrooms have a big floor to ceiling closet which can hang long coats, long dresses, jackets……. And shelves.

Fabulous location, comfortable lodging, welcoming hosts
Stayed 10 nights while we were getting our son settled at Stanford. Jo and Mike were very helpful with suggestions for things to do and restaurants, of which there are a TON in Los Altos. Absolutely gorgeous area, great stay - thank you!

Excellent close to Stanford
Thoroughly enjoyable two nights. Quiet cul-du-sac with generous double patio. Quality kitchen, comfortable bed, and complete bathroom amenities. Really a gem of a home away from home.

Above expectations
Everything about our stay was excellent. The private guest house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The location is quiet, but close to the town, university or hospital. The check in process and instructions were perfect. Communication with the host was prompt and helpful. One of the best VRBO properties we have ever stayed at. 5 stars!!

Vacation Spot
House is in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Excellent for relaxation and enjoying some time away. House was clean and bed were comfortable. Things to do are a small drive away but that doesn't take away from the home itself. 1 thing I would add is possibly upgrading the TV to a newer version to be able to watch something incase of days where people just want to stay in and relax. Other then that the stay was great and gave us the most privacy as possible as she said.

Los Altos Hills is beautiful and close to Stanford, shopping and hiking trails. Joanna’s home sits in a flower wonderland and her home is clean and comfortable. We were in town meeting our first grandson and her home suited us perfectly. We had the pleasure of meeting Joanna and Mike and they are most gracious hosts.

Beautiful location in Los Altos Hills
My wife & stayed at this property in October while visiting family in the area. The guest house was immaculate and well equipped in a very quiet neighborhood. Los Altos Hills is a beautiful area, close to Palo Alto and convenient to freeways to other Bay Area locations. The property owner Jo was very friendly and helpful, directing us to walking trails in the area. We will stay here again!

Jo is a superb host!
We had a great stay with Jo. She welcomed us with an early check-in that helped a lot. She graciously remembered Perry’s birthday with a card and gift-so kind. She gave us great advice on how to enjoy the neighborhood. We especially enjoyed her beautiful and comfortable outdoor spaces. Our bed was comfy, and the neighborhood quiet for sleeping. We highly recommend this property.
