"To say the Pole House is iconic is obvious. We kept pinching ourselves that we were actually it’s guests. Every time we walked across the bridge felt like we were stepping into a very privileged space. For lovers of seascapes gazing out its windows is unparalleled. We slept with the blinds up and woke to the waves rolling up the beach. The facilities were all very comfortable and functional "

"Great location, great balconies to entertain outside with two outside areas that were spacious. Bedding, heating/aircond/fire place and cooking appliances was brilliant. Shower was average with low pressure and hard to get into, also lack of cleaning applinaces like garbage bags, toilet needs, also sharp knives to use for cooking....."

"We stayed for five nights and had a relaxing, enjoyable time. The rooms were comfortable and the view was lovely, we fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves. The property was clean, well-heated, and perfectly located within walking distance of shops and restaurants, even with a pram.Despite visiting during a very cold and rainy week, the multiple heaters kept the place warm without any issues. We also made frequent use of the washing machine and dryer, and everything was in excellent...

The host was very helpful and the house was very thoughtfully appointed - we had everything we could have needed. The location was great too - only 1km out from town but felt peaceful and secluded. The kids loved the playground nearby! "
