A blend of English and Irish heritages, when they’re not in London reading and eating out, they can be found at their second home in France. From Renaissance artwork to European furniture, every piece in this home has been chosen with a care and precision that indicates the eye of a true expert. The living space is open plan, with large windows, pale wooden floors and an elegant fireplace. The dining table and chairs are French-style, while the marble-topped kitchen is sleek, white and modern. Browse your hosts’ collection of books, or venture out onto the cute balcony and take a seat in the sun. There are two double bedrooms, each furnished with exquisitely turned pieces from Britain and the continent, and two bathrooms, one ensuite. As with all the rooms in this home, you’ll find peace, warmth and high ceilings, and the master bedroom is a particular delight, with its kingsized bed and venerable teddy bear. If, like your hosts, you enjoy the hunt for precious objects, then make your way to nearby Portobello Road Market, where you’ll discover old oil paintings, fine jewels and vintage clothing. Nip into La Plaza Deli on your way back, or head to Westfield, where you’ll find not just shops and boutiques, but cafes, restaurants and even a champagne bar. - This home accepts babies and children but does not accept toddlers. One loveable dog lives at this home. He won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with allergies. This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between june and september, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. There are stairs up to the entrance of this home, and no elevator. The home has low water pressure which sometimes affects the water in the kitchen. There is a pump in the home located in the second bedroom which helps to sustain the pressure in the home and will kick in after the water is used.
