"We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. It was fortunate my operation for a knee replacement was postponed or I wouldn't have managed the stairs (no lift). The first floor room was stifling as it was during the ongoing heatwave. No fan provided.
We went straight to get a cold drink (having driven 200 miles we were parched). Ordered the drinks...

"I had a great stay at this hotel for the night.
Very clean, comfortable beds. Clean shower. Could connect to the TV to watch the likes of YouTube or watch normal channels. Room service, although I didn't use this. A lovely restaurant with lovely food..and the staff were fantastic. Even checked me in an hour early.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay and I highly recommend booking."

"My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. "Overall pretty great, but definitely a few negatives. Cleanliness was not 100%, by a long shot. Room was incredibly hot, oh so unbearably hot. We opened the sliding door as it was cool outside, but then flooded our room with bugs (100's of them). Room was close to the "lake", aka still water pond. Hence all of the bugs. If you are going to book this hotel, definitely book away from the pond or do not come in the hotter summer months. Staff were awesome, exceptionally amazing."

"We had a traumatic experience going to see `take `that weeks before. Trying to get a taxi out of the city. It was 1am when we got back to the hotel. The concert finished at 10.30. 5 women in our 60’s waiting on a pavement in Cardiff was awful. "One night stay. Very friendly staff. Lovely village location with nice view of the Wye valley hillsides. Very reasonable pub standard evening meal, breakfast was spot on. The room was clean and comfortable with all the bits you would expect, kettle with tea and coffee, a nice bottle of sparkling water, TV, good quality soap and shower gel etc. Great value for a very reasonable price.
