"We loved the features throughout the building. The beams, low ceilings, uneven floors...really kept the character of the building. Rooms were nice albeit a bit strange having the shower in the room and not in the ensuite but good use if available space given grade 2 listed building regulations."

I was warmly greeted and all locations and timings were pointed out to me.My room was had a king-size bed, a two seater settee and a good quality writing desk. The room was immaculately clean and the walls were softened by coordinated artwork. There were large opening doors to a Juliet balcony, and this made the room very comfortable indeed.

"Staff are very friendly including the restaurant staff. This hotel represents good value for money and is comfortable. You can hear the trains in certain parts of the hotel which is mentioned in the hotel description, we stay at the weekend so it wasn’t really an issue but during the week I would opt for a room at the other side of the hotel which is clear when booking a room.
