Seaside Escape - Oregon Beach Vacations

Located in the Nelscott district of Lincoln City, Seaside Escape is the perfect oceanfront cottage for any Pacific coast getaway. Featuring two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, this vacation home can accommodate up to four guests, making it perfect for a small family getaway. One of the best features of this classic cottage is it's gigantic living room viewing window which offers panoramic ocean views: travelers can watch boats, kites and storms all from the comfort of the cozy living room. In addition to the giant viewing window, Seaside Escape features a fully stocked kitchen, a beautiful gas fireplace, and a flat screen TV with a DVD player and streaming for guest enjoyment. The home has two queen beds for sleeping accommodations and a shower. This Lincoln City vacation rental also has a washer and dryer for guests on an extended vacation, so guests can feel free to pack clothes for a week but stay for a month! Outside, guests can find beach access one house south of Seaside Escape. Miles of coastline, soft sands and the gentle ebb and flow of the ocean await all visitors. In addition to the beach, guests visiting this home will find themselves within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in the Nelscott District off of Highway 101. You can get American food at Burger 101, or Mexican food at La Roca's. For those seeking a fancier fare, the Inn at Spanish Head is located less than a mile away on the cliff side overlooking the Nelscott district, and features savory dishes such as Tarragon Salmon that are coupled with gorgeous Pacific coast views. Come experience the Nelscott district of Lincoln City from this cozy Lincoln City cottage. Seaside Escape delivers rest and relaxation for all visitors, and we invite you to experience all this oceanfront vacation rental has to offer!

The house is great overall & we really enjoyed our stay. The view & beach access exceeded expectations and the location was close to everything. We wished there was some sort of faucet or hose outside to wash the sand off after returning from the beach and a few more area rugs to wipe your feet on would help tremendously but we made do and enjoyed ourselves. The kitchen is well stocked and very clean. We would rent this again.

Cozy and a quiet location great ocean view

Awesome location and view, but needs maintenance

It was nice to be able to park in the driveway right next to the front door and the keypad worked great to let us into the cottage. As soon as we entered we noticed a moldy smell and about two dozen large flies on the windows. The front drapes wouldn't open, and we were afraid something would break if we forced it. We called maintenance and someone came by right away. It took him a while, and he said we would never have been able to open them on our own. We didn't bring enough clothes because we thought we would be able to wash clothes there until we discovered the mold inside the washing machine. In spite of everything, we grew to really enjoy this oceanfront cottage with the awesome view. It was very quiet and had easy access to the beach. We spent a lot of time each day just looking out the large window at the ocean and sunsets. A lot of different birds visited the yard each day, and a bald eagle sat on a log on the beach out front one morning. If the fly and mold issues are addressed, we would love to rent this cottage again.

Birthday get away

Everything was great except the washing machine and being cold. It was molded over. And gross. There was hair in it and not something I would use regularly let alone a guest who paid . It should be replaced.

Nice location. House is rundown

Place needs a lot of TLC: seriously upgraded beds, updated shower, and since your pay for the view, being able to see out of the window should be top repair priority. The "panoramic" view is a fail.

great location subpar dwelling and amenities

To whom it may concern: As a frequent user of VRBO vacation rentals I was surprised to, for the first time, be disappointed in our accommodations. The overall condition of this rental is rundown - parts of windows are rotting away, sliding doors are difficult to open and close, the outdoor furniture is broken and rusted so badly it is dangerous. The grill is rusted to a degree where we will not use it. My wife opened a cabinet and it just fell off and nearly hit her. We cannot get any TV other than some local channels. There are no directions explaining which remotes and in which order we are supposed to use to access streaming programming. When we arrived the musty odor was the first thing we noticed - since we opened some windows it has gotten better. We didn't take showers for 4 days because the "hot" water was lukewarm at best. When we contacted Oregon Beach Vacations, the property management company, they told us on two consecutive days that someone would come and address some of our concerns - they never showed up and after the second day they never communicated with us. We consider this to be unprofessional. The location is very nice - right on the beach and centrally located in this part of the Oregon coast. We are just disappointed in some of the amenities that are important to us that seem to be either missing or subpar.

Great location….but

The location is absolutely great. Wide uninterrupted ocean view. Good neighborhood. ….but very small and old house. Very little or no heating. It is not a two full bath house. One bathroom is extremely small with a shower that is difficult to access and another small bathroom with out of service makeshift bathtub! The location is BEAUTIFUL but it was not a comfortable stay!!

Untapped Potential

Fridge smelled like fish. The window blind is broken and stuck in the down position so you can't open it to enjoy the awesome view. Bed sheets were fine but the comforters looked like they came from the Goodwill or were purchased when the house was built. The bed pillows were very small and flat. Pictures on the site do not match what the rooms look like. There is only one shower/tub, the blue tub in the picture does not work and they list it as if it does. The house is a 1.5 bath. Not 2. Floors did not feel clean under bare feet, I wore sandals the whole time indoors. The place could use a few area rugs, the entire place is linoleum, bare floors. The throw pillows on the couches and the beds are visibly soiled and need to just be tossed out. Everything in the home is very old and needs some updating. It would be so easy to update a few things and it would be a 1000x's better. #1 Get rid of all the fake flower arrangements. #2 New bedding, pillows/throw pillows would make a world of a difference. #3 Update your ad so it matches what you are providing. The view and the fact that you are right on the beach is awesome.. but the place.. needs a little TLC. Also the app portal and the 3 different companies make things very confusing. We booked through Vrbo. Then we got an email from Oregon Beach Vacations, and then there was portal access through Advanced Lodging? I just want to check-in and access my info with ease... it was not easy.

Fun Time

Wonderful. The only issue is that it advertises 2 baths and they have only 1 1/2 since the sunken tub is unusable and there is a sign that says that and no grab bars in either bath. Please put in a shower and replace the tub. Beautiful view.

horrible appliances and other itmes

The microwave burned all the food into charcoal, The kitchen stove does not work proplery at all the stove temp is way off and burns all your food. The bedding is torn apart, multiple blankets would have there filling get all over the house. The pics of the house do not truly show how small this property is. The one nice thing about the place was the big window where you could see the ocean. But the constant cost of eating out becuase the appliances dont work really drove the cost up and i would not recomend getting this property for a rental unless all the items are fixed. There is also a incredibly long wait time for hot water in the kitchen sink and the bathroom with the tub in it

Cottage on the Beach

Fun at the beach

We had a great time. The view is what first gets you as this house is right on the beach with nothing between you and the ocean. Absolutely fantastic! It was built in 1927 though and the first thing we noticed walking in was the musty, old smell. We opened windows and bought a few candles and can't say it detracted from our trip. It was close to shopping and places to explore, which we did, but mostly we just relaxed, walked on beach and enjoyed the amazing sunsets. We plan to come back in the winter to see what the ocean is like at that time of year. Thanks for an amazing time!
