Quiet Cabin in the Woods - Secluded Yet Close to It All

Tucked away in a rural setting on 10 wooded acres, this cozy three-bedroom cabin offers the perfect escape for those seeking peace, quiet, and a true Up North experience. Surrounded by nature and set back into the woods, it’s a tranquil retreat where you can unwind and recharge—yet you're still just a short drive from Harbor Springs and all the beautiful destinations Northern Michigan has to offer.

While the cabin does not include air conditioning, there are ceiling fans throughout, and the screened windows welcome in the fresh woodland breezes to keep things comfortable during the warmer months.

Grab your favorite drink and settle in by the wood-burning fireplace for great conversation or a quiet evening with a good book. The cabin is fully stocked for cooking and features a large picnic table on the front porch—an ideal spot for outdoor meals or evening cookouts under the trees.

Not in the mood to cook? Head 9 minutes down the road to Moose Jaw Junction, a local favorite known for its Friday night fish fry, burgers, and laid-back atmosphere. Or take a scenic 12-minute drive to Cross Village for stunning Lake Michigan views and a memorable meal at the iconic Legs Inn. Bliss Polo Club is just 4 minutes away, making this a great base for polo enthusiasts.

Whether you’re looking to explore the best of Northern Michigan or simply relax in solitude, this hidden woodland cabin is the perfect match.

We ended up not staying at the property. The property was far darker than the pictures. Was not an ideal location with a bad feel. Didn’t work for us and our family, but may work for others. We did get our cleaning fee back, which was appreciated.

Weekend getaway

My two oldest granddaughters, a boyfriend and myself stayed at the cabin. We visited Mackinac Island and Mackinaw city. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The bathrooms were clean, the bedrooms were roomy. We enjoyed our stay in this cabin which was close to the places that we wanted to visit. I highly recommend this cabin for your visit to the area.

Lovely stay in the North woods of Michigan

We loved our stay at this cabin in the woods. The cabin was so well equipped. It had everything we needed and more. There was excellent attention to detail at this property to make sure we could just show up, relax, and have fun!

Family vacation

We chose this cabin because we wanted to tour Mackinac Island as well as hike in nearby state parks. This cabin was an excellent choice due to its proximity to wilderness areas as well as trails located on the property plus it was under 20 minutes to the ferry at Mackinaw City. We also appreciated the fully stocked (with supplies and utensils) kitchen, gas grill and fire pit which allowed us to enjoy family time in the evenings. A beautiful, secluded and quiet location.

Quick Family Getaway

We had a great time at this property. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great - about a 20 min ride to anything we wanted to do and when we were at home base it was so quiet and private - we loved it!

Great place to stay

We had a great time staying here! It was a perfect spot located within a short distance of some cool places to visit. We love that it is in the privacy of the trees with its own walking trails as well. Our family enjoyed day trips balanced with board games, meals on the deck and backyard whiffle ball and horseshoes.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This property was the perfect spot for a mini vacay to mackinac Island! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and cozy, and the jacuzzi in the upstairs bathroom was so awesome! The property the cabin is on is so beautiful and the property management response was on point! Highly recommended visiting in the fall, we are very happy with our stay and will be telling others about how awesome it was! Thank you so so much!

Perfect location

This was a Fun Little Cabin that brought back memories of being a kid again. A swing on the porch with a picnic table for games. A croquet set. Paths that meandered through the woods. We spent a day at Mackinac Island. Another morning golfing at Hidden River GC. Harbor Springs was close and of course the tunnel of trees was a beautiful drive. Visited a winery and Legs Inn. We have suggested this property to our friends. 5 stars!

Wonder Cabin

We absolutely loved this cabin. It is nice and secluded but still offers a bunch of places to visit a short drive away. The cabin was clean and everything was well taken care of. I would highly recommend staying here.

Cozy and comfortable cabin

Our family of 4 enjoyed this cabin in the woods. It was nicely appointed, bright and well equipped. We enjoyed the large porch and making bonfires in the fire pit every night. The kids liked playing horseshoe and wandering the paths on the property. Great home base for visiting Mackinaw Island, Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

Secluded Mackinac getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the property! The cabin was beautifully kept and had great amenities. It was a perfect location. 20 minutes from the Mackinac Island ferry but also an excellent way to escape each night from the island and rest in a quiet, secluded cabin. Highly recommended!!

Perfect Winter Getaway

This cabin was perfect for our needs. My husband and son skied and snowboarded each of the five days that we were there. They were really close to Boyne Highlands and Nubs Knob -- where they spent three of the five days -- and then they were just under an hour from Boyne Mountain, where they spent two days. Meanwhile, I happily hiked and cross-country skied on the many trails in the area. I loved having a fire in the wood-burning fireplace each night, curled up with a book while my boys went night skiing. The cabin is charming, and the setting is so peaceful.

Secluded gem!

This cabin was truly one of our favorites! Loved the porch and porch swing! Located right in the middle, perfect distance to surrounding cities. The property was so peaceful! The cabin has everything you need! Inside and out it was beautiful! Our only complaint was the two queen beds were not comfortable so we ended up sleeping in the twin beds.
