"The main appeal of this motel is its proximity to Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains. When we were there the water park was open too which was fun after a long day at the parks. Other than that, the amenities are minimal. Tv barely worked, sheets and towels were bare bones, breakfast was light. If you go into it knowing these things, then there’s no surprise. I was happy with my stay but would caution others to be aware of the limitations of this motel."

"This was almost like being in a resort in Mexico the pool and hot tub area were so beautiful. That was the cleanest hotel that we have stayed in in a long time. The staff was fantastic. Art was amazing. The food was great not your average of the milk, icky potatoes, and sausage every day and chicken and biscuits muffins I mean granola all the toppings for the granola. It was just an amazing hotel altogether. It was an amazing experience. I felt like I was in Mexico."

"Upon arrival our room was not ready they were very apologetic and because we travel enough to know sometimes like this happen. We decided to go have an early dinner and came back and all was well. Rooms were very clean, beds were exceptional. The breakfast they provide was beyond anything we were expecting and the supervisor or woman in charge walked around asking if everything was ok and could she get anyone anything …what! Amazing and so glad we picked The Holiday Inn Express"

"Very nice hotel with plenty of history. Staff was very helpful. Their restaurant and bar are great. Pool and hot tub were perfect. Plus shop inside was excellent. Walked out with some Jalapeño jelly. Tour of the hotel and history ate excellent. Great stay all around."
